The Funkie Junkie 12 Tags of Christmas - Tag 3

]

Hi everyone, hope you're off to a good start with the weekend. I'm lagging behind with posting my tags for Linda's 12 tags of Christmas 2012 challenge which is sponsored by the Funkie Junkie Boutique, I've got most of the them made, just not getting the blog posts done!

Linda's gorgeous tag for tag number three has inspired me with the background, the pretty overall colour, white die cuts and grid so I've done mine in a similar way. My background colour is Iced Spruce distress ink with a bit of pine needles sponged in as well. I stamped the Tim Holtz distressed snowflakes using white acrylic paint and really like the mottled effect it gives. For the square grid background where Linda used metal I've used some magic mesh and run over it with white paint then I've added one of the Tim Holtz Reindeer Flight die cuts which is lovely and sparkly cut from glitter card. Some white ric-rac ribbon, a silver bell, punched and die cut snowflakes, chit chat sticker, sparkly tulle ribbon and lots of silver pearl pen pearls finish off the tag.

The challenge is open for a couple more weeks so hopefully I'll get the last three tags done and the rest that I've made posted. Enjoy your Saturday!

Oh Chris I love this tag....it is so delicate and feminine, I can't take my eyes off it. Clever use of the magic mesh, absolutely stunning background with the mottled look snowflakes - the sparkly deer is fabulous too. I think I may try this out for Christmas tags for presents. Wonderful! Hugs, Anne x

Hey Sugar! You will get them all posted, I have faith in you!!! LOL!
Beautiful tag - now what is my favorite thing -- I would have to say it is your use of the magic mesh. It really adds something and I have always loved bells AND then the colors look so pretty. I love the silver pearls - I am going to have to practice with those guys. Mine always look like the nipples of Venus!

Woohoo, what an amazing piece of eye candy this is, Chris! The color of the background is just incredible and I love the snowflakes stamped with the acrylic paint. The bright white against the blue-green has such a WOW! factor to it. Totally awesome take on tag #3! Thanks so much for sharing with us at the 12 Tags challenge.

Hugs,
Linda
