The Craft Barn Alpha Challenge - Letter 'E'

Hi everyone and I hope you're enjoying the weekend. It's another letter in the Craft Barn Alpha Challenge and the new letter is 'E' and I've had a colourful time with the gorgeous Sweet Elephants and Swirl stamp from Crafty Individuals over a gesso background.

I've sponged distress inks around the page but left the elephants without any ink and I've finished off the page with some writing, Nellie the elephant sprang to mind as making the page so that's what I've gone for, well the first few lines anyway.

My search for an old hard backed dictionary was fruitful this week and I'll be starting that after the next letter. I may do the letters I've already done again in the new book. I have to say I love the size of this little dictionary and the very yellow pages but it's not easy to stamp in or photograph so I'll move over to the larger hardback one that I've found.

It's been lovely seeing some of my blog friends joining in with this challenge and what they've been coming up with is fantastic, what a treat this challenge is turning out to be, it's a lot of fun!

If you haven't already joined in I hope you'll join us in the Alpha Challenge, it's never too late and the earlier letters that we've done can always be fitted in down the line, there's also a great prize to be won every challenge. Lots of inspiration from my DT friends as well, I love it that all the individual styles come out.

I used:

CI-351 - Sweet elephants and swirl
Gesso
Distress inks
Pigma Micron Pen black 0.30 nib
Ranger White Pen http://www.thecraftbarn.co.uk/product.php/16188/ranger-white-pen

Letter E... that is going to be fun, lots of choices! I love yours Chris. Cute little Elephant, lovely colors in the background, interesting composition. Love how you did the writing, love the nice lacey border too. thank you for sharing and for the inspiration. I have not been able to find another little dictionary... but I also find it difficult to photograph, even to work on the thin pages, I wonder if the soft cover will make the road... !!Hugs.
