Hi everyone. I have a Paperbabe Stamps card to share today for the new Challenge on Paperbabe Stamps blog. This time the challenge is to follow the sketch below which can be interpretated by flipping, turning etc., and there's a lovely prize for the winner so I hope you can join us.
Having had some snow flurries recently and wanting to start some Christmas cards early 'Snowman with scarf' seemed like the perfect choice of stamp and he's such a cute snowman! All of the Paperbabe stamps I've used for this card are a new innovation from Kim, they're red rubber cling which come ready mounted on an acrylic block. The stamp is picture indexed on the back for ease of alignment too, what a great idea and there's no more searching around for the right sized block.
I've coloured with pencils and added some white pen over the top. I used 'Peace, Love, Joy' and 'A lot like Christmas' to build the background paper using Luxe pigment inks. I love using text stamps to make my background papers, building up a pattern in layers here with each of the stamps in different coloured ink and my last layer being the Christmas text stamp in white ink which holds everything together. Lots of pearl pen and glitter jewels for snow adds a bit of sparkle and a die cut heart with some linen ribbon finish things off

From a very cold North Carolina across the frozen pond! One of the prettiest cards I have seen in a VERY long time! I adore snowmen and the colors red and brown together. Your red scarf is gorgeous and so warm looking!!
I will not be posting for a while as we are packing up our "house" for a move to another state. Hope to be posting again by September.
