High Hopes Challenge

Hi everyone, my card today is for the High Hopes challenge where the theme this week is distressing, one of the things I love to do most on my cards and it's been a long time since I entered the challenge, it was nice to get my HH stamps out. My image is Umberto, he's so cute and I've watercoloured him with distress inks. The card is for the gorgeous twin brother of the little girl who's card I made yesterday and there's a bit of a Tinkerbell/pirate theme going on so I thought Umberto would be perfect with some pirate background paper by Sandylion. I've distressed and ripped the bp a fair bit, sanded it in various placed and curled it back in the bottom right where I placed the button, I think I can say the paper is well and truly distressed! The horizontal strip under the image is dark grey bazzil which I distressed scrunched up and then swiped with a red ink pad. The number four is cut on the Cricut and I added some clear sparkle gel pen to the cutlass and belt buckle. TFL. Chris x

This challenge was made for you Chris and what an amazing card you have come up with too! I love the distressing on the background and it looks a bit like an old pirate map, fantastic coluring of Umberto and the little button and fibres finish this card off beautifully :) Donna x

I LOVE this. My biggest beef about pirate-y things is they are always so clean and pretty! This boy is so very cute and your coloring is awesome. Thanks for sharing.

This is fantastic Chris! The colours are amazing and, as always, your colouring just blows me away!
I'm just using one of the images you sent me for my birthday and was wondering what cardstock you use? It's the first time I've been able to colour with my Copics without them bleeding ;o) xx
