Hi everyone, hope you’re having a nice Sunday so far. It’s raining here, just for a change, so staying inside today. A card today for Just Magnolia where the challenge is ‘It’s Christmas’, Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge has a theme of ‘Snow’ this week and Simon Says Stamp Challenge is ‘Let it Snow’.
I’ve used the gorgeous Magnolia ‘Frosty with snowflake’ from the ‘So Snowy’ collection, water coloured with distress inks, cut the image out with circle nesties and then added stardust stickles, doodling and sponging around the edge. The background paper is from the Magnolia winter collection and I’ve added some punched snowflakes, the larger of which is embossed with the CB snow embossing folder. To finish off I added some more doodling and edge sponging and iridescent gems. I used the the sketch from last week’s Friday Sketchers for the layout, thought it was a nice one. Wow again Chris, this is amazing! How you do the white snowman like that is fantastic, and reminds me so much of watercolor. I love your style with Copics, it is so unique and so artistic! It just blows my mind! I want to have a lesson!!!
I love your use of greys on this card. It just makes me ooooh and ahhhh and I will be staring at it for awhile!
oh, so now I'm reading the post AFTER I comment and see that it indeed WAS water colored! duh to me!! I assumed it was Copics! ha ha Oh well, you did a smashing job with the distress ink water coloring then! :-D
