Hi everyone, hope you’ve had a good weekend. It’s snowing again here but luckily the ground is wet!
On the Craft Barn blog we’re having a monthly sketch challenge and for February there’s a theme of love but that doesn’t have to be valentine, there are also three shopping vouchers to be won :). The original post with the sketch was issued last Monday if you fancy joining in and the girls have made some gorgeous layouts and cards using the sketch, you don’t have to make a layout. I had a go at making a mini book from some holiday photo’s and I’ll be adding some more pages to it although I struggled to find pictures that weren’t blurred from this holiday! I enjoyed doing it, first time I’ve tried a scrapped mini book and it was nice to write down little things I remembered.
I used BasicGrey Origins paper pad throughout and embossed some Ten Seconds Studio metal (first time for that too) for some of the embellishments using the basic metal tool kit and Ranger alcohol inks and blending tool. Lots of punching with Martha Stewart punches and sponging with Ranger Distress inks. Writing and doodling done with black fineliner, white gel pen and sparkle gel pen. TFL.

The mini book is wonderful, Chris....can't believe it's the first one you've done...look forward to seeing more scrapping from you.
I usually find it hard to find many unblurred photos as well!!

Hi Chris...long time no see...you have posted so many beautiful creations since my last visit and your little mini book is brilliantly done and what a wonderful keepsake too! I hope everything is OK with you at the moment despite the cold weather...the snow hasn't settled her yet and I'm rather hoping it will come after the kids break up for half-term :) Donna x
