BasicGrey Challenges 21 - Sketch 6

Morning everyone, I hope you're weekend is off to good start and for those of us in the UK it's a bank holiday so an extra day to enjoy. A new challenge at BasicGrey Challenges starts today and this time we have a great sketch to follow designed by our lovely Martine. Absolutely amazing inspiration again from DT friends, they're all so talented, I hope you'll pop over and have a look and join in if you can. We have a great prize from our sponsor Simon Says Stamp who are always very generous.

I've used papers from the BasicGrey Green at heart collection with some kraft card and white velvet paper that I've embossed for the corners. Circle is cut out with nesties and my image is a very sweet girl by Hanglar St.Angler stamps water coloured with distress inks and cut out. The decoration is blue tulle ribbon, a wood heart painted with Picket Fence crackle paint then glittered, Viva pearl pen, punched flowers, stickles and paper edges are distressed and inked with distress ink and some white ink. Enjoy your Saturday, thank you for visiting and for your lovely comments.

Chris, this is gorgeous and very eye popping. I really looked at it and tried to figure out why I was so attracted to this card. It is the purple ribbon. It adds an element of surprise with it going behind the character and looks beautiful in it's frill. By the way, I noticed Magnolia magazine when I shopped in the US (I live on the border so I shop there wkly) I skimmed through it and the moment I saw your tutorial I decided to buy it. Isn't it great?! Here I am asking you how to do your bg and now I can see it step by step. Thank you for all your hard work and inspiration.

Hugs,

Beth

Hi Chris! Superb as usual. I was browsing peoples blogs. My husband saw yours over my shoulder and immediately asked "who's is that?" I told him and he promptly announced "yeah, she's my favorite". To which I responded "mine too!". We're both in awe of your talent.
