DU2DS Challenge 40 - Blooms and Butterflies

Hi everyone, hope you've had a good week. A card today for our new challenge at DU2DS which this time is 'blooms and butterflies'. There's some gorgeous inspiration from my DT friends and I hope you can join us. I've used my 'Watching' digi for this one and I've tried an idea inspired by my DT friend Larissa for doing a one layer card which I loved the look of when she did one recently. The digi was printed onto thick textured card and then coloured with copic markers, I added a rub on and that was it :)! Hope you have a great weekend and thanks as always for your lovely comments.

Ooo love this, I sometime forget about the simplicity of a non layered card with a big image. This looks amazing, thank you so much for inspiring me. Hev:)

Gorgeous Chris - beautifully coloured. I hesitate to say 'back to basics' because it's anything but, but the advent of lovely papers sure took our attention of the one layer, huh!

Now this is a gorgeous card! What kind of cardstock did you use to be able to color with your copics? I need to get some so I can color some 1 layer cards...

Wow-whee, THAT I will remember. Not just the image (flippin' adorable. btw) but that not overblended "paint strokes" style copic colouring too. Yum! Love the texture and freehand feel.
