Hi everyone! I have an acrylic mini book to show today for the Katzelkraft blog using the beautiful stamps from theTransportation half plate, Arbres 02 1/3 plate and KTZ48 Nature.
The mini book is on the theme of a childhood memory as I'm entering it into the Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge of 'a childhood memory' this week. My memory is of my Grandfather, he had lots of hobbies and I remember being shown how to use a plane in the woodwork shed and lots of other memories of course but don't have photographs of those. So his picture is on the front with his violin (I do remember trying to play that without success :D) with photographs inside of the band he played in during the 1930s. I've also included a photo of me as a toddler sitting in the yard of my grandparents house [love the safety pin holding my play clothes together :)].
The pages are die cut from thick acetate and then stamped with the flourish, tree leaves and the brick background stamps from the above sets in permanent white and black ink then I added embossing ink to the edges and embossed with black embossing powder. The vintage car on the last page was also stamped with permanent ink on the acetate and then cut out and glued over the page.
I've also added die cut leaves on the front cover and made a music tissue tape flower with die cut leaves on two inner pages which I reversed on the opposite side using a different tissue tape. There's also a glittered die cut heart, gems, music tape, ribbon and trim to decorate.
Thanks as always for your lovely comments :).
