All Sorts Challenges

Hi everyone and a card today for Allsorts Challenges and my last one as guest designer which I've really enjoyed. Thanks again to Fleur for asking me and to all the girls on the team for their lovely welcome. This week the challenge is 'make your own flowers' chosen by Emma. I hope you can join in and I know there's lots of gorgeous inspiration from the DT.

I made my flowers using ribbon (seam binding) that I dyed with mica mist sprays and re-inkers. I cut three circles from card large, medium and small and added double sided tape then twirled and attached the ribbon around the circles working from the outside to the centre. I finished off each flower with a self adhesive pearl. The background has been stamped with versamark and shimmer powder was added over it. There's a layer of mica mist over the stamping followed by a layer of distress crackle paint, a Marianne D swirl die cut was painted over too. Added some pearl pen dots to decorate, a TSG sentiment stamp and a die cut and distress painted hinge from a Sizzix Tim Holtz die. The card is a DL size.

I'm tutoring some colouring classes today at the Craft Barn which I'm looking forward to and colouring house mouse images which is always enjoyable. Enjoy your Saturday.

Beautiful card Chris, I love the colour combination that you have used, the blue and orangey peach really pop against each other, and using the white too just looks fab. I love making those flowers, but haven't tried them with seam binding. Great idea, Judith xx

So I was thrilled this morning to discover that I have won some of your digi images in the Allsorts challenge! I've sent Felur my details and I can't wait to get my hands on some Sketchy digis for a play. Thanks for sponsoring at Allsorts!
