Rusty Box

Hi everyone, hope you had a good weekend and a good start to the week. I have a decorated box to show today which started out as brown paper mache and which I've given the rust treatment to :). I've used a gorgeous Katzelkraft tree stamp on the flower which is embossed with gold embossing powder and all the die cuts around the lid and the bottom are dry embossed with a sizzix swirl embossing folder, not sure that it shows up that well in the photo after the paint effects but it can be seen close up.

I'm entering Simon Says Stamp Show where the challenge this week is 'show some embossing' and Grungy Monday where the challenge is to use grunge board or grunge paper and I've used grunge paper for all the die cuts and the rose.

Have a good day today :)

Wow, Chris, this is wonderful! It truly does look like a rusty vintage tin. The Grungepaper worked beautifully for the design. It's such a cool look, like something you'd find at a roadside antique market. Spectacular job!
