12 Tags of Christmas 2011 - Tag 1

Hi everyone! I have a tag to share today which I'm entering into Tim Holtz's 12 tags of Christmas. I've enjoyed following along for the last couple of years although I haven't managed to complete them all as yet, fingers crossed :). It's always a lovely run up to Christmas and nice to make something from the inspiration with a twist that he always provides.

I've improvised on my tag which is what it's all about, using what you have and taking inspiration from something in the sample and I've used different card and a different embossing folder. I didn't have any of the dies so again I improvised and made the sentiment, pine cone and greenery in another way. I also followed the embossing technique which gives a gorgeous snowy effect and I hand cut my paper strip at the bottoms and dyed the ribbon in the same way, I love to do that anyway as it's a nice way to bring the colours you've used together. I'm already looking forward to tomorrow's tag and hoping that I get past six this time :D but however many I manage they'll all be going on my Christmas gift bags.
