Book of Secrets

Hi everyone, hope you had a good weekend! I finished my book of secrets with techniques learned on Andy Skinner's online workshop of the same name and I'm entering it into the Simon Says Stamps and Show challenge which this week is 'show a summer holiday'. Well you might need a compass for a travelling holiday and it's always a good idea to take a good book, especially one with a secret drawer where you can keep the little essentials and with a metal [or is it? :)] cover for strengh :D. The extra pictures below are clickable for a closer view.

I thoroughly enjoyed making this anyway and as I'd already done a project a couple of weeks ago with Andy's techniques in brown I decided to go with a black and silver version this time. At the end I felt it needed something more so I used techniques from the Timeworn Techniques workshop for that final aged look. My blog friend Elly also went this way with her black version interestingly but now I think we'll both be experimenting with other colours and putting all the techniques learned together. I like it when things learned on one workshop can be incorporated with another and Andy's workshops are great for this.

Enjoy your day!

Oh my gosh, Chris!! I LOVE this book!!! It's just phenomenal! Is this Andy "Andy Skinner"? I'm thinking of taking his online workshop...just was introduced to his work and I'm blown away. Your book is really really fantastic! I'd love your input on Andy...if it's the same guy. Thanks so much for sharing your art with us at Simon Says Stamp and Show. It's always amazing! <3 Candy
