Image transfer butterfly trinket box

Hi every one! A mixed media project to share today which is a trinket box and card that I made for a birthday present. The box actually comes as a set of three one inside the next and this is the middle sized box. The lids of the boxes have inset canvas panels which are removable. The box and canvas are painted with DecoArt paints, I've used some collage butterflies with some Ranger rock candy paint on top for some texture. There's also some stenciling with a Crafters workshop stencil and some stamping with a Crafty Individuals swirl stamp and a polka dot stamp. I added some gems, chit chat stickers and doodling with black and white pens to finish off.

Stamped and stenciled around all the sides with paint.

I painted, stamped  and did another collage butterfly on the inside.

I also made a card using the same technique as on the box to go with it, stamped with a Crafty Individuals butterfly stamp and houndstooth stamp in the background. The edges are sanded back to reveal the paper under the paint..

I'm entering these into the Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge which is one for the girls. Dutch Dare with a colour challenge and I picked blue, orange/yellow and white from the photo.Enjoy your day :)

Chris...another fabulous piece of art from YOU! :) This box is amazing! I love how the canvas could be removed from the top. Much easier to create such a beautiful piece of art that way! I really love the black and white edging. That really pops. The butterflies are beautiful and the Rock Candy is a great addition to their surface. What stamps did you use on the Butterflies? They are gorgeous! I also love the sides of and inside top of your box. All of your colors, design, stenciling and stamping look amazing! And that card....wow! Love it, too. Thanks for sharing your talent with us at Simon Says Stamp and Show. <3 Candy
