Funkie Junkie 12 tags of Christmas 2012 - tag 2

Hi again and here I am with Tag 2 for  Linda, the funkie junkie's 12 tags of Christmas sponsored by the Funkie Junkie Boutique.

For this one I was inspired by Linda's metallic background and I've adhered metal to a tag and then embossed it with a Tim Holtz embossing folder and used black paint to bring out the details. I also went with Linda's idea of using part of the snowflake 'on the edge' die for the bottom of the tag and I cut mine from black card and then covered it with black stickles, I used a small piece for the top as well and then lastly I went with black tinsel to put through the hole in the tag and the same word using alpha parts also covered in stickles..

I used the grungy snowman stamp from a TH Christmas stamp set which is stamped in black ink and I edged the tag with white acrylic paint.

This will go on a gift bag for one of my Sons, I think this style is great for the masculine presents.

WOW! Chris! This looks AMAZING!! If someone gave me some metal and black paint, then asked me to make a Christmas tag, I wouldn't have a clue what to do with it. You have made another wonderful work of art. And it will be perfect to go on your son's gift bag :) x

Oooh, this is just too cool. That grungy snowman stamp is so totally perfect for this piece. Love that you did the snowflake die cuts in black and the black tinsel is the perfect finisher! Super entry for Tag #2!

Great to see another entry from you, Chris!

It's pure joy to see black and white! The glitter, the tinsel, the snowman, the border around the hole all wonderful, but the metal background is a contrast made in tag heaven! Super fabulous make!

oooh I like this with black. Wouldn't this look great with a all white Christmas tree! I could even see a grunge garland around something white in a home. Your tag is really fun and refreshing from others, I see so many different options with the colors and the embellishments you used. Creative minds!!
Hugs and Happy Thanksgiving,
Kelly

Hi Chris, I love your stunning tag, who would have thought black could look so right for a snowflake? That embossing folder is my all time favourite and it looks fabulous on your tag. Well done for completing tag No. 2! Hugs, Anne x
