When is a tag not a tag?

 .......when its an ATC!

I'm just in the nick of time to enter Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2013 which I hope to complete this year, last year I only got as far as April! Instead of tags I'm doing ATCs as I've decided to use up one of the ATC printer trays that I've been hoarding for a couple of years, it's time to put it to good use and end up with something I'll enjoying displaying where I craft.

The obvious disadvantage of an ATC is there isn't the same amount of space to work with as on a tag but I'm looking on that as part of the challenge :D. I started off by cutting out the ATC using the Tim Holtz ATC and corners die from mixed media card and I have to say that this die is one of my most used. There were quite a lot of the items that Tim used that didn't have so I've used what I had and enjoyed the making of it which is what it's all about. From Tim's tag I've taken the embossing using the cogs and gears folder, the distress ink colouring although I added in a little turquoise paint over the top, one of the cogs from the TH Alterations gadget gears die which I painted gold and then I decorated with a metal lock part, a metal stud, the inked corners from the ATC die, TH word stickers and I also added some tea dye embossing powder and bit of gold rub 'n' buff  here and there too.

Here's how the ATC looks in the Printer Tray and I'm looking forward to seeing how the February ATC will look next to it. I haven't adhered the ATC permanently to the tray so that perhaps next year I'll take them all out and do it again! Nothing like a positive outlook is there LOLOLOL!

Stunning work Chris, the turquoise and gold look wonderful together with all the textures. Lovely printer's tray too, what a good idea for displaying them all. Did you win the lotto? (all that TH stash ?) Looked for a dictionary yesterday in several chazza's but only saw one and it was a modern pocket version, I'm guessing you want something with a bit of age.

Really gorgeous, and such a cool alternate take on TH's tag... What a fabulous idea to display the building collection in a printer's tray - incentive not to miss one out!

Eye candy! I love all the texture and color on here. I totally forgot about Tim's tags for 2013...still playing catch-up for 2012. I think I managed 4 of them. :/
