The Craft Barn Alpha Challenge - Letter R - Tattered florals garland and decorated shoe

Hi everyone, I'm sharing my latest Alpha Challenge Dictionary page today for the Craft Barn Alpha Challenge and this fortnight the letter is R and my chosen word 'rabbit'.

I've chosen another lovely Crafty Individuals Alice Palace stamp 'Crowned Bunnies'......takes me right back to Watership Down :D!

Once again I've painted on a layer of gesso, stamped with VersaFine and then coloured with distress markers and the markers over the gesso give a nice effect.

The Craft Barn have now moved into the new shop at Priory Farm and is now open again, on Saturday I'll be demonstrating at the Opening event demo day which I'm looking forward to, so if you're in the area, it's going to be a good day with five demonstrators in total. I made up a couple of long floral garlands for the new CB which are below and lots of us have decorated a paper mache shoe for a display as well and mine is further down.

I used the Tim Holtz Tattered Floral die, a couple of other flower dies and some punches to create the garland from a variety of papers and simply glued the flowers etc., to some garden twine so it's very easy to make and goes together quite quickly once all the punching and die cutting is done.

I decided to give my shoe a metallic look and have gone for silver paint all over the shoe with some black inside and at the base for the sole and heel.

I did a mix of silver paint with black distress paint on my craft mat and swiped some card repeatedly through it until I liked the pattern then when dry I die cut flowers with the Tattered Florals die and glued these onto the shoe. Lots of pearl pen dots and to decorate and a Tim Holtz Rosette cut from the same paper that I used for the flowers to finish off.

Have a good day and thanks as always for the your lovely comments, they're always appreciated.
