12 Tags of 2014 and OCC

Hi everyone, hope you had a good weekend. I have a tag to show today made to enter into Tim Holtz's 12 tags of 2014 which for the January tag has a great industrial style and also to enter the  Our Creative Corner Challenge where the challenge is 'no more shopping sins' and involves using hoarded stash.

Well, like many I have hoarded stash and there are a couple of items on the tag that I haven't used such as the pocket watch die and the game spinners. I really like how the metal effect came out and it was satisfying to actually use some of my hoarded ideology bits and pieces. I've stuck as far as I could to Tim's tag, same pumice stone background and pocket watch metal covered die cut and I've improvised on other items that I didn't have.

The sanding of the rub on's is a nice effect that is a technique from the tag by Tim, it really does make them part of the background.

Thanks as always for your lovely comments.

This is fabulous! I was just having a little browse around to see what people were making with their hoarded stash and came upon this. I am so glad I did. It is so well crafted. Julie Ann xx

Love the chunky weight of your watch. You've made it the focal point of the piece and it just makes the card. Great job!
