Paperbabe Stamps August Release

Hi everyone, I'm sharing an art book spread today for Paperbabe Stamps August Release and today the reveal is the brilliant Doll Face stamp Set. If you've come from Paperbabe Stamps blog you'll have seen the beautiful rag doll Kim has made using them which shows just how versatile this set can be.
Doll Face will be released for sale on Friday when we also have our Paperbabe Stamps Summer Blog Hop, I hope you'll join us for that.

I'm partial to creating the odd mixed media girl, most often on canvas but this time I chose my art book. Creating these girls just got so much easier with the aide of the Doll Face stamps. The most difficult part of creating the face is now as easy as choosing eye shape, mouth shape etc. and stamping away, leaving more time for making beautiful mixed media backgrounds.

The entire spread is painted with acrylic paints, mainly Paperartsy chalk paints with the addition of a couple of DecoArt colours. All the stamping is done in black archival ink, with black ink and white paint stencilling and I've shaded with a grey Faber Castsll India ink pen. I've added stamping from two other Paperbabe Stamps sets, Oriental Zen and Fabulous Everything in the background.
I'll be back with my blog hop make on Friday.

I love mixed media but rarely do faces as I'm never happy with them - doll face stamps might just be a must!! Love this creation on my first (but not last) visit to your blog!

Wow Chris, you've done it again. Absolutely loving this latest piece of yours, to me she has a certain 70's vibe about her, very Biba-esque. Groovy! How are you?
