Paperbabe Stamps February Release

Hi everyone and here we are with the Paperbabe Stamps February release which is jam packed with more imaginative products from Kim and we're starting off today with another winning stamp set 'Birthday Wishes', a staple for a stamp collection as it'll be one that's constantly in use.o

There's a lot to like in this set with the mixture of large and small sentiments, different designs of the candles and the little confetti stamps.

There are so many options for styles too and I've got two completely different looks with my samples this first one stamped in bright inks with glitter is more feminine or could be for a child.

My second sample has a more masculine feel and slightly grungier look with an inky and stencilled background. All the stamping has been heat embossed with gold or silver embossing powder and I've outlined the chevron stencilling with white pen. So that I could emboss the tiny stamps before my embossing ink was dry I added all of the tiny confetti stamps to the block and stamped them together, this way I only had to stamp four times around the background.

Here you can see how the candles look embossed in metallic powder close up and I added white for the outer part of the flame before adding gold for the centre. I didn't get perfect alignment on the candle flames but I think the off centre look of it goes well with the background so I'm ok with it :-D.

My background came together with some Dylusions coffee and Distress Iced Spruce Distress spray inks together with some gold mica infused water. The stencilling was done with white ink for a bit of texture and just partially in a few areas.

I also made a tag to go with my first card as I needed to add one to a gift for a birthday on Monday. I inked all the little confetti stamps in different coloured inks and stamped them all around the card. I used Luxe inks which means that they're permanent once dry so I was then able to give a little spritz of Dylusions Pink and Distress Peacock Feathers spray inks.

I used a different combination of sentiment stamps so that my card and tag are different, there's also a nice sentiment for the inside of the card.

I'm really pleased that Kim has designed another set with mixed size sentiments and there are lots of options for the greeting too which I find very useful for getting maximum use from a stamp set, it means that you can send a card to the same person over and over again and will always be able to make the card look very different.

Kim has some gorgeous inspiration on the Paperbabe Stamps Blog and the stamps will available from the Paperbabe Stamp shop on Friday.

I'm back tomorrow with the next part of the release....see you then!

Two very different cards and both brilliant. Great tag too. Love the bright colours of the first one and the textures of the second. Hugs, Carol S.xx

Hi Chris.
Both lovely in their different ways.
Particularly like the embossed, more male orientated card.
See you .
