Layered

Morning everyone! A spread from my art book to show today, inspired by Donna Downey's image transfer technique (scroll down a few posts for that) and to be entered into this week's Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge of Layers.

There are many layers, starting with gesso then acrylic paint, the image transfers followed by multiple layers of acrylic paint some of which are stenciled, some stamped and some onto fabric. The fabric tags I cut also have a butterfly image transfer on the left hand page and just paint layers on the right. There's also doodling and outlining with pens and some stenciling with oil pastels. I used my favourite swirl stamp from Crafty Individuals stamped with white paint, chit chat stickers and alpha parts from Tim Holtz.

Thanks as always for your lovely comments and enjoy your day.

Wonderful Chris - All the layers of so many beautiful colors. Would love to see your journal for real. I think Donna Downey lives in the same state as I do. Love your work Chris.
