Katzelkraft - Simon Says Stamp and Show - Embossing

Hi everyone, hope you're all well! My day on the Katzelkraft blog today and I've made a Valentine's card using stamps from the Katzelkraft 'Love' stamp plate

The shoe was stamped on watercolour paper, coloured with distress ink, then cut out and embossed all over with crystal embossing powder so it has a lovely sparkle, this means that I can enter my card into Simon Says Stamp and Show some embossing this week :).

I stamped the white paper doily with one of the heart stamps in spun sugar distress ink and this is completely embossed with the crystal embossing powder which has made it slightly translucent and given a very pretty effect. The small nestabilitiy die cut and embossed heart is stamped with the 'Love is in the air' stamp and Victorian Velvet distress ink and the background piece is dry embossed with a cuttlebug hearts folder. I punched some butterflies and spritzed them with pink mica mist which I also did on the flowers and ribbon. To decorate I've added lots of dots to the background, the large butterfly and the doily with a silver pearl pen.

Enjoy your day and thanks as always for your lovely comments, one of these days I'll catch up with returning them!

Magnolia DT card

Hi everyone, hope you’ve had a good day today. Here’s another of my Magnolia DT cards this time featuring the gorgeous butterfly Tilda from Chasing Butterflies collection last spring and the little rose stamp. I’ve watercoloured her with distress inks, cut her out and and added little wire antennae and lots of stickles. The background card and papers were all sent by Magnolia so I’m afraid I don’t know the brands and all the flowers and leaves and dark blue ribbon are from Magnolia too. The blue scalloped circles were all cut with nestability dies and the one behind Tilda has been embossed with a CB swirls folder. They’ve all been sponged with white ink and stickled of course :D. I also used up a small piece of the vellum paper I made for my Magnolia chocolate box card for the bottom and I sprayed the background card under it so that there’s a bit of blue showing through.

I’m entering my card into these challenges:
Cupcake Challenges ‘flower power’
Stamp with Fun ‘spring’
By the cute and girly ‘spring’

Should be up to date soon hopefully so that I can catch up with what you’ve all been doing :D. TFL tt for now.
