Magnolia DT card

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>
<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>
Hi everyone, hope you’ve had a good day today. Here’s another of my Magnolia DT cards this time featuring the gorgeous butterfly Tilda from Chasing Butterflies collection last spring and the little rose stamp. I’ve watercoloured her with distress inks, cut her out and and added little wire antennae and lots of stickles. The background card and papers were all sent by Magnolia so I’m afraid I don’t know the brands and all the flowers and leaves and dark blue ribbon are from Magnolia too. The blue scalloped circles were all cut with nestability dies and the one behind Tilda has been embossed with a CB swirls folder. They’ve all been sponged with white ink and stickled of course :D. I also used up a small piece of the vellum paper I made for my Magnolia chocolate box card for the bottom and I sprayed the background card under it so that there’s a bit of blue showing through.

I’m entering my card into these challenges:
Cupcake Challenges ‘flower power’
Stamp with Fun ‘spring’
By the cute and girly ‘spring’

Should be up to date soon hopefully so that I can catch up with what you’ve all been doing :D. TFL tt for now.

Magnolia DT card

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>
<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>
Hi everyone, hope you’re having a good week so far! Another Magnolia DT card from me today using the lovely heart chocolate box, the rose stamp and the gorgeous Dinner Tilda. Everything is water coloured with distress inks apart from the background paper which I made by stamping the rose onto vellum, heat embossing with white embossing powder and then colouring on the reverse side with copic markers (a nice tip from my friend Sandra :)) and it gives a lovely soft look to the roses and quite different from those I’ve stamped and water coloured. Everything has been cut out and arranged over the card blank which was cut with a labels nestie die and some ribbon and lace. I added some pearl pen, stickles and some of the pretty lilac bead strands which Magnolia have just brought out to decorate.

Have a nice evening, thank you as always for the lovely comments you leave and which I appreciate very much, I hope to catch up with my blog hopping when I get all my DT cards done. TFL.

Magnolia DT card

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>
Hi everyone, hope you’re having a nice Sunday and hopefully some craft time :). A Magnolia DT card today using the gorgeous Honey Tilda, honey jar and bee stamps. I did some masking so that I could have Tilda sitting on the honey jar and she’s coloured with distress inks, glittered with some stickles then cut out and layered on a nestability die cut. The background paper is created using a mask over white bazzil card which I made and cut on the Cricut hopefully looking a bit like honeycomb? :) Used some chocolate and lemon glimmer mist to spray over the mask and then I over stamped with the bee stamp and brown ink. To decorate I added the ribbon which is also glimmer misted, the threaded buttons, clear copic spica glitter pen over Tilda’s clothes and the hand written Honey sentiment. TFL.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>
Happy Valentine’s Day everyone, I hope you’ve all been showered with love :)!
A card today for Just Magnolia Challenge and a theme of ‘Love’, Double Dutch where it’s ‘Be my Valentine’, Stamp with fun ‘Hearts’ and The Pink Elephant ‘Mushy, Gushy Valentine’.
I’ve stamped the ever so cute Ladybug Tilda and water coloured her with distress inks, cut her out with a nestabilities die, added lots of stickles, copic spica glitter pen and glossy accents to her spotty jacket. The background paper is also by Magnolia and I’ve faux stitched around the edges of it. There’s a border of white card with punched with the doily lace punch finished off and red dotted ribbon and to finish off I added the Magnolia ‘Loving Wishes’ sentiment which I cut in half after stamping and some clear gems.
Have a cosy evening and TFL.

Cuttlebug Challenge

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>
Hi everyone, hope you’ve all had a good weekend. A card today for The Cuttlebug Challenge where the theme this time is to make a mask and use glimmer mist. For my mask I used a strip of paper that I’d previously punched some hearts from, placed it over the white heart doily die cut and sprayed it with Creme de chocolat glimmer mist, moved it up and sprayed again the embossed with the hearts cuttlebug folder. I stamped the gorgeous Amor Tilda and water coloured her with distress inks and then cut her out. There’s stickles dotted about and little pearls on her headband done with a Viva Decor pearl pen. The round card blank was cut on the Expression as was the scalloped heart doily and on the blank I’ve stamped with the Magnolia Love post and love heart stamps in old paper distress ink. The large heart is another die cut and the smaller one is from a Martha Stewart punch, both have been edged with walnut stain distress ink and then glittered with chunky glitter. A pretty ribbon, a Papermania sentiment and a few more pearl drops to finish. TFL and as always, thank you for the lovely comments you leave, I really do appreciate them very much.

DU2DS 29 - Buttons

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>

Hi everyone, it’s our first challenge of 2010 on Dare U 2 Digi Stamp today and we’re starting off with a theme of buttons. There’s some great inspiration from my design team friends and we hope you can join us.

I’ve used my rose heart digi soon to be available which is coloured with markers and then cut out. I gathered some lace and glued it around the heart then added it to the lilac bazzil easel card which was embossed with a CB embossing folder then sponged with dusty concorde distress ink. The tag is cut from the same card with a nestie tag die and I added the heart shaped button, stickles and doodlebug rub on letters for the sentiment. Have a good Friday. TFL.

I’ve stamped the gorgeous Popcorn Bear from the Birthday Hugs set and water coloured with distress inks. There’s lots of stickles and copic spica glitter pen, faux stitching with a blue glitter gel pen and all the edges are sponged with tea dye distress ink. The other layers are strips of white card punched with the MS doily lace punch sponged on the edges with tea dye ink and the card base is from kraft card. I scored around the top of the image on my score board and then used a white gel pen in the groove, punched some slots either side for the blue toile ribbon and added some gems for a bit of sparkle, there’s also some glossy accents on the nose of the bear, the beak and feet of the duck for a bit more texture. TFL.

Still on Christmas

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>

Hi everyone, hope you’re having a good week so far and keeping warm. A card today for the ABC Christmas Challenge with a theme of Angels this time. I didn’t manage to use many of my sweet Christmas Tilda’s before Christmas so it’s been nice to get some of them stamped and as I’m determined to have plenty of cards ready for next Christmas I’m going to be entering all the Christmas challenges I can :D. As all Tilda’s are angels I’ve chosen the lovely Tilda with Christmas Tree and water coloured her with distress inks and matted the image on some pretty Magnolia Mistletoe paper. I’ve used the nestability frame for the first time that I got at Christmas and I’ve sponged the embossed parts with walnut stain distress ink. The background is kraft card that I’ve faux stitched to look like quilting and inside the diamonds on the reverse side I did a bit of sculpting with a ball tool. Lots of stickles has been added to the image and liquid pearls in gold on the background and on the Christmas tree. TFL.

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>
Lemon and lime
Hi everyone, a new Colour Create challenge starts today with a lovely colour combo of lemon and lime with an option of spring or summer flowers chosen by our lovely Sharon so thanks Sharon, love these zingy colours! There’s some amazing cards from my DT friends and a great prize from Michelle’s Scrapbooking so I hope you can join us for this one.
I’ve stamped a sweet little girl from The Greeting Farm 'hope and grace' set that I haven’t managed to use before, coloured her with copics, cut out and added lots of sparkle with stickles and a glitter pen. The die cut nestie shape is embossed with a CB happy birthday folder, sanded, edged with lime ink and stickles and punched with a slot punch to add the dotty ribbon. Background paper is BasicGrey Lime Rickey, distressed and edged with stickles and the flowers are a stamp from the same Hope and Grace set, I stamped, coloured and cut out five of them, added buttons tied with lime green cord and stickles.
Have a great time tonight if you’re celebrating new years eve! TFL.

I've used my new image 'Tara' which should be available later today and she's marker coloured cut out around the top of the image and mounted on pink and then yellow coredinations card. The background papers is BasicGrey Sultry and I've also punched out some butterflies from the this and also from some of the yellow card which are glittered and mounted with glue gel. Kadoodle Blog Candy, Amelia with present

Hi everyone, this week 'Amelia with present' stamp is the Blog Candy at Kadoodle. If you fancy a chance at winning her, leave a comment on the Kadoodle blog. Good luck!

I've made a pop up card with 'Amelia and present' and 'Holly Cottage' which are both available from The Craft Barn. Images are marker coloured, cut out and attached to the pop out cuts in the snowflake vellum which is attached to the card blank. I added some trees behind the images cut from Basic Grey 'Wassail' which have distressed edges and some punched stars. Added more 'Wassail' paper to the sentiment area and decorated everything with fluffy snow and stickles. The front of the card is more 'Wassail' paper for the background, two nestabilities die cuts, holly leaves and stars cut from gold pearlescent card. Added gold liquid pearls to decorate. Sentiment on the front is Hero Arts and inside is Elzybells. TFL.

My Sister and Me

Hi everyone, I've made a tag today for Dutch Dare where the challenge is 'anything but a card' and also for Tag you're it with a challenge of 'Tic-Toc', not sure if I'm in time (lol) for TGI, hope I am! I started with a thick white card tag and two thick card die cut flowers, all these were sponged with Ranger distress inks and edged with black. I stamped over this in black with an Elzybells sentiment stamp 'we laugh, we cry, we make time fly, best friends are we, my sister and me' which I love and also with a clock face by Stamps Away. I added the huge gems which were a present from my lovely friend in Canada, gold liquid pearls (I took a close up shot of the tag because I think the pearls look like icing!), stickles and oddments of ribbon for decoration. TFL.

Christmas Tree

Hi everyone, hope you've all had a good weekend. I've been making Christmas cards using a cuttlebug embossing folder which are nice and quick when making a few together and I now have nine of them made up. I've varied the mat layer on them, either red, silver or gold and also the colour of stickles and liquid pearls. This card is on a gold layer and highlighted with gold stickles and an ivory bow. TFL.

Awareness II

Hi everyone, another card for the set I'm sending off for Breast Cancer Awareness month. The image is by MFT, coloured with water colour pencils and H20s. I've done the card in a simple style which seems to suit the great image which was sent to me by a friend together with the sentiment. I just added the pretty background paper, doodling and edging around the sentiment, pearls and some stickles to finish. The H20 element is for an SCS technique challenge. They do give a nice sheen but there are a few lumpy looking bits here and there. I suppose it depends on the angle of the light in the photograph it doesn't seem to look like this IRL. TFL.

Village by the pond

The challenge this week on A Spoon Full of Sugar is to follow a lovely sketch by Nikki. I've used my stamp design for Spiral Whisper named 'Village by the pond' and coloured with Prismacolor Pencils and Sansodor, I've also used a sweet Hanglar design and she's very cute with her strawberry, I think I'm hankering after the summer that we haven't had yet! She's also coloured with prismacolor pencils and then cut out. I've matted the background image on navy bazzil card and then Doodlebug paper, both images are mounted on 2mm and 3mm dimension tape. The Sentiment is from Woodware and I added three flowers and stickles to finish. TFL.

The Big Top

Today's card uses the new High Hopes Circus stamps and all the characters are stamped in versafine, water coloured with distress inks and cut out. They're all mounted on 1mm dimension tape.

I cut the card base to give the shape of a circus tent, covered with Doodlebug striped paper and black card for the inside. Cut flags and stars from some sparkly blue card and used these to make a rope of flags along the canopy and on the tent poles, the stars are placed for the circus ring which is drawn with a white gel pen. I added loads and loads of stickles which I wish would show up more in photographs but it's very sparkly. Made a banner for the top with the sentiment and sponged around this and all the edges of the tent. TFL.

The Penny Black Diamonds are forever image was stamped in Versafine Black Onyx and coloured with prismacolor pencils and Sansodor, then matted on red Bazzil and white card and fixed with dimension tape over the panel of red, background of Pebbles Dog prints paper and gingham ribbon for the second panel on the sketch I followed. The sentiment panel is a Pebbles rub on, I added dots of stickles here and also on the cat's collar. The collar is studded with gems and three more larger ones are added to the red panel in line with the sketch. TFL.

Hawaiin Tilda

A card for Friday Sketchers challenge using these lovely Magnolia images that my friend Tania stamped for me, aren't they cute? I think the Magnolia's just get better and better. All the images are water coloured with Ranger distress inks and I've arranged a little scene with sponging and wavy cut bazzil card in line with the sketch. The card blank was embossed with a CB bubbles folder before adding the other elements. I doodled waves with a white pen and continued the sand line with a black sharpie over the rest of the card, stickles were added to Tilda's flower garland and the waves for sparkle. I added a prima flower with a gem centre under the stamped Magnolia flower as I lost the smaller flower that I'd coloured and cut out! I'm not that happy with how this card turned out, I should have cut out the palm tree to make the border work better but I wanted to use the island as the panel for the sketch and I made it for the challenge so I'm uploading it and I wanted to show off the absolutely gorgeous Tilda! TFL.
