I used the 'Hello cupcake' stamp to stamp into the paint on my gelli plate before I took the print and I used the paint on the stamp to make the images on white card. I've seen stamps being used to make impressions in the paint to create white space on the print which I've also done here on my background and because the stamp is fine lined the effect is quite subtle which I like a lot. When I saw all the random bright coloured paint on the stamp after I'd pressed it into the gelli plate it reminded me of the look you get when you make a custom stamp pad with Ranger felt and so I found some white card and stamped the painted stamp to be my foreground image. Initially I was trying this out for a background only so I was pleased to be able to get some complete cards from my messing around with paint! :D.
I'm entering my cards into the Crafty Individuals Challenge for February which 'for my friend'
The Challenge at Simon Says Stamp and Show is 'something messy' (no matter how much I try to reign it in paint is always messy for me!)

Hi Chris, you really have created some fabulous backgrounds for your cards and I really love that cupcake stamp (wish I had bought that too now!). For me the jury is still out on the Gelli plate but I am far too quickly coming round to wanting one - is there no end to all these fab new things out there...........Hugs, Anne x

Love love them!! You got a wonderful effect stamping on gelli plate and then on the cardstock. I was not sure to get such a nice result with detailed stamps. I have to try, too!
LOL - I know what you mean about getting messy! LOL. At least I am not too bad with my Promarkers. :)
