Hi everyone, I’m just in the knick of time to enter Ready-Steady-Stamp which is the second part of the banner challenge.I’ve made two for this one, I think I need seven all together so will need to get two done for the next two challenges. I’ve added the recipe picture detailing what we needed to do apart from using the colours we picked for the first one and I had fun creating my own stamp from cut and dry foam apart from the fact that I couldn’t find anything very interesting to take an impression of :). In the end I used a sushi rolling mat (sushi rolls are yummy :D ), which is made of thin pieces of bamboo threaded together with string and it worked very well. I used this to stamp the background in a lime green ink on one of the banners and I also used it with darker Peeled paint distress ink for my hand cut out Christmas tree shapes. The patterned papers are by Imaginisce and K&Co., Kraft card is from Elzybells. I stamped some Christmas trees from the Kadoodle Joi de noel stamp set in gold ink on top of the homemade stamped image for the banner on the right, used white eyelets and cream raffia to keep my colours going. Hope you’re having a good week. TFL.

Ready Steady Stamp 9 – Christmas Banner
Hi everyone, I’ve joined in with the challenge on Ready Steady Stamp which has an ongoing theme for the next few weeks and which I thought was a great idea. The challenge is to make a Christmas Banner over the next few challenges by making one or more parts of it with the set of ingredients posted on each new challenge and on the last one you make your banner up in time for Christmas. Here are the ingredients for the first part of the bunting.
I’ve chosen green, cream, gold and white as my colour scheme and you have to stick to the colours you choose throughtout. For my stars I used the star from Joi de Noel set available at the Craft Barn and then I’ve heat embossed with clear embossing powder over the top. I’ve stamped some smaller gold stars from an old Woodware set randomly around and I’ve also cut three out and popped them up on foam pads. I chose glitter from ing. 3 and have used plenty of Stardust Stickles. I’ve done some sponging with Antique Linen distress ink for the cream part of my colour scheme and I’ve also sponged with gold metallic ink and done a bit of doodling with a gold gel pen. There are some gold stamped Chistmas words from the Woodware set and embossed the green background piece of the banner with a stars embossing folder then swiped over the raised stars with the gold ink. I really enjoyed making this and I’m looking forward to the next one and seeing how they all fit together at the end or if they fit together at all :D! Thanks to Fiona for making her beautiful tag so that I found the challenge. TFL.

Colour Create Challenge 3
My image is the luscious Primrose by Sandra Dry for Kadoodle Stamps, mmm I think that bikini is my size! I've coloured her with markers and cut out with a Nestability oval, matted on a scalloped oval of Navy Bazzil card. The little beach scene is various distressed, torn and embossed pieces of Bazzil card and some Nestability cut scalloped ovals cut in half, sponged and glittered for the clouds. The sentiment is Penny Black and the gorgeous twill deck chair style ribbon was from a blog candy I won recently, I'll have to find out where it came from I think it's gorgeous. Added some stardust stickles and a gem to finish. I've realised I can enter this also for the Cupcake challenge by the skin of my teeth as the challenge this week is a scene card. TFL. Chris
