Colour Create 35 – Lemon and Lime

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>
Lemon and lime
Hi everyone, a new Colour Create challenge starts today with a lovely colour combo of lemon and lime with an option of spring or summer flowers chosen by our lovely Sharon so thanks Sharon, love these zingy colours! There’s some amazing cards from my DT friends and a great prize from Michelle’s Scrapbooking so I hope you can join us for this one.
I’ve stamped a sweet little girl from The Greeting Farm 'hope and grace' set that I haven’t managed to use before, coloured her with copics, cut out and added lots of sparkle with stickles and a glitter pen. The die cut nestie shape is embossed with a CB happy birthday folder, sanded, edged with lime ink and stickles and punched with a slot punch to add the dotty ribbon. Background paper is BasicGrey Lime Rickey, distressed and edged with stickles and the flowers are a stamp from the same Hope and Grace set, I stamped, coloured and cut out five of them, added buttons tied with lime green cord and stickles.
Have a great time tonight if you’re celebrating new years eve! TFL.

That was 2009!

Hi everyone, I hope you’ve had a lovely Christmas and Santa was good to you! My friend Kim did a lovely post today which is a showcase of her favourite cards from 2009 so I thought I’d join in. Kim also has a very nice blog candy going at the moment and the most beautiful cards. It’s nice to take a look back and see how things have changed :D.  December is a bit barren for me, I definitely have to make Christmas cards throughout the year in 2010 and avoid the last minute panic (New year resolution :D). There were some months where I was pushed to find a favourite at all but I enjoyed looking back over everything. If you do this too I’d love to come and see your favourites.

Magnolia Tilda with Christmas cracker

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>
Hi everyone, hope you’ve had a good weekend and getting there with everything for Christmas. We haven’t ventured out…..to much snow which has turned to ice! A card today for My time to craft where the challenge this time is Yuletide Greetings. I’ve stamped the cute Magnolia Tilda with Christmas cracker and water coloured her with Ranger distress inks. The Woodware sentiment is stamped with versafine brown ink, I added stickles and cut out with an oblong nestabilities die. Punched a hole for the ribbon with a Stampin’ Up! slot punch (thanks Dena x) then threaded through the gingham ribbon around the lovely Magnolia gingerbread paper. There's some distressing on the paper, doodling and faux stitching. TFL and take care if you’re out in the ice today.

Dare U 2 Digi Stamp Challenge 28

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all getting close with your preparations for Christmas and not making last minute cards as I am :D but if you are we have a nice challenge on DU2DS from today which is ‘last minute Christmas cards’. There’s great inspiration from my DT friends and a prize of some images so I hope you can join us.

I’ve used the ‘Christmas wreath’ digi, coloured with markers and glittered with stickles and teamed up the images for my three cards with some ‘My Mind’s Eye’ paper. I used the reverse side of the paper to do a punched border and I’ve done some edge distressing and doodling too. Quite plain designs but I was able to make them quickly.

As I’ve been writing this post we’ve had several inches of snow which is very unusual, I think I’ll be staying put tomorrow! TFL.

Burgundy Pink and Ivry

Hi everyone, time for another challenge on Colour Create and this week the combo is chosen by our lovely Dena (thanks Dena, it’s gorgeous!), the extra option is roses. There’s more amazing inspiration from my DT friends and a great prize from Simon Says Stamp so I hope you can join us.

My card has come out a much brighter red than it actually is, it’s much darker IRL. I’ve attemped a Christmas Wreath on the faux stitched and white ink edged Bazzil card blank made from punched hearts in ivory, pink and Magnolia roses paper which have been faux stitched. Added roses, dove ribbon, buttons, pearls, ribbon, perfect pearls and the Woodware sentiment to decorate. Have a good day today. TFL.

Ready Steady Stamp 11

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>
Hi everyone, hope you’re all well and not too cold if you’re in the UK!! I just missed the last challenge for Ready Steady Stamp by a few minutes and I see that the next one is up now but Mr. Linky was still open so I've entered as I wanted to show my next banners. I now have five so I’m pleased that I got two done for this week. This was the recipe for the last challenge.
RSS week 11
I’ve done the banner on the right with CB ornaments embossing folder swiped with gold ink and the snowflakes folder on the bottom layer for the banner on the left, this one has also been stamped with snowflakes in green ink, sprayed with cosmic shimmer rich gold mist and then I’ve cut out some circles with nestabilities for the baubles. I didn’t have much in the way of cord so I’ve used some gold raffia and embroidery thread in place of that. I thought I was using copper stickles but this morning it seems to have turned into dark pink :D! Wrap up warm and TFL.

Magnolia ‘Frosty with snowflake’

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>

Hi everyone, hope you’re having a nice Sunday so far. It’s raining here, just for a change, so staying inside today.  A card today for Just Magnolia where the challenge is ‘It’s Christmas’, Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge has a theme of ‘Snow’ this week and Simon Says Stamp Challenge is ‘Let it Snow’.

I’ve used the gorgeous Magnolia ‘Frosty with snowflake’ from the ‘So Snowy’ collection, water coloured with distress inks, cut the image out with circle nesties and then added stardust stickles, doodling and sponging around the edge. The background paper is from the Magnolia winter collection and I’ve added some punched snowflakes, the larger of which is embossed with the CB snow embossing folder. To finish off I added some more doodling and edge sponging and iridescent gems. I used the the sketch from last week’s Friday Sketchers for the layout, thought it was a nice one. Have a lovely Sunday. TFL.

BasicGrey Colour Combo 3 _thumb[3]
Hi everyone, hope you’re all well and getting organised for Christmas, I don’t know where the time is going, the weeks are speeding by so fast! A card today for BasicGrey Challenges and a lovely colour combination this time of cream, pink and blue. Fantastic inspiration awaits you from my DT friends so I hope you can join us. This is the last challenge until 9th January as we’re having a little break over Christmas and as always there’s a lovely prize on offer as long as you use a BasicGrey product on your creation.
I’ve gone for a cream card blank, mat layer and the centre of the heart for the cream part of the colour combo and used BG Wisteria paper for the blue with nestie die cuts, ribbon and pearls for the pink. The gorgeous Christmas stamp is from Crafty Individuals and I’ve stamped it and then sponged with Ranger distress inks in Antique Linen, Tattered Rose, Broken China and then added some stickles to the wings. Sentiment stamp is by Woodware and there’s some doodling with a pink sparkle gel pen. Hope you have a lovely weekend. TFL.

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>

Hi everyone, our new challenge on Colour Create is a lovely combo of Lavender/Purple, Aqua, White and Black chosen by my lovely DT friend Deanne, such a pretty choice Deanne, thanks very much. There’s no optional extra for this challenge so it’s the colours and whatever you like. As always the girls have some amazing cards for the challenge so I hope you can pop over for a look and join us. Our sponsor for this challenge is Michelle’s Scrapbooking and there are two lovely stamps as the prize.

My card is a straightforward one, I had in mind to make a batch of these……………yeah, right! I’ve cut out the Christmas tree shape from an SVG file on the Cricut which is made to fit the Cuttlebug christmas tree embossing folder. The die cut was then embossed with the folder and I also cut a mat layer from black card and sponged the edges with white ink. The background is more white card embossed with the Cuttlebug snow embossing folder and I’ve finished off with lots of stickles in blue and lilac/purple, some bows, a toile bow and some gems. Think I would have liked this better if I’d left it white as I sprayed the white card with pearl glimmer mist so it’s nice and sparkly without anything else, a shame it doesn’t show in the photo. I’m also entering this into the Cuttlebug Challenge where the theme this week is glitter, Daring Cardmakers where the challenge is white Christmas, hope I can get away with this, my card is mainly white :) and SCSC has a theme of Christmas trees. TFL.

Ready Steady Stamp – challenge 10

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>

RSS week 10

Hi everyone, I’m just in the knick of time to enter Ready-Steady-Stamp which is the second part of the banner challenge.I’ve made two for this one, I think I need seven all together so will need to get two done for the next two challenges. I’ve added the recipe picture detailing what we needed to do apart from using the colours we picked for the first one and I had fun creating my own stamp from cut and dry foam apart from the fact that I couldn’t find anything very interesting to take an impression of :). In the end I used a sushi rolling mat (sushi rolls are yummy :D ), which is made of thin pieces of bamboo threaded together with string and it worked very well. I used this to stamp the background in a lime green ink on one of the banners and I also used it with darker Peeled paint distress ink for my hand cut out Christmas tree shapes. The patterned papers are by Imaginisce and K&Co., Kraft card is from Elzybells. I stamped some Christmas trees from the Kadoodle Joi de noel stamp set in gold ink on top of the homemade stamped image for the banner on the right, used white eyelets and cream raffia to keep my colours going. Hope you’re having a good week. TFL.
