Hi everyone, hope you've had a good week. Another canvas to show today for Linda's Studio L3 Compendium of Curiosities challenge which is up to week 16 and this time it's wrinkle free distress on page 33 of TH's book.

I've used Crafty Individuals stamps, Eco Green Exquisite black embossing ink, Crystal embossing powder, distress and Memento Brilliance inks together with the Alterations swirl die, a Martha Stewart snowflake punch, stickles and gems. Hope you have a nice weekend planned.

Colour Create 35 – Lemon and Lime

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>
Lemon and lime
Hi everyone, a new Colour Create challenge starts today with a lovely colour combo of lemon and lime with an option of spring or summer flowers chosen by our lovely Sharon so thanks Sharon, love these zingy colours! There’s some amazing cards from my DT friends and a great prize from Michelle’s Scrapbooking so I hope you can join us for this one.
I’ve stamped a sweet little girl from The Greeting Farm 'hope and grace' set that I haven’t managed to use before, coloured her with copics, cut out and added lots of sparkle with stickles and a glitter pen. The die cut nestie shape is embossed with a CB happy birthday folder, sanded, edged with lime ink and stickles and punched with a slot punch to add the dotty ribbon. Background paper is BasicGrey Lime Rickey, distressed and edged with stickles and the flowers are a stamp from the same Hope and Grace set, I stamped, coloured and cut out five of them, added buttons tied with lime green cord and stickles.
Have a great time tonight if you’re celebrating new years eve! TFL.

Pink Gem Baby Girl Bundle - Cuttlebug Challenge

Hi everyone, a card today for the Cuttlebug Challenge where this week there's a sketch to follow. I've used my cute Pink Gem Designs Baby Girl Bundle stamp and watercoloured her with distress inks and cut out. All the layers embossed with cuttlebug folders and I used labels one nesties for the panel behind the baby. The little birds are part of the stamp but I cut these out too to use for an element of the sketch. There's some stickles and sparkle gel pen here and there to which might be just about visible, a little pink BG button, sheer polka dot ribbon all mounted on a Papermania pink scalloped card blank, can't seem to stop using these cards, they're lovely. Kadoodle Snail Wagon

Hi everyone, a card today for Stamp Something where the theme this week is think spring. I love the fresh spring colours, pinks, blues and greens and I've used these colours in the card, buttons and water colouring of the image. The Snail Wagon image is my Kadoodle design available at the Craft Barn and I've water coloured it with Ranger distress inks, added some stickles and glossy crackle accents to the snail shell. The background is blue core'dinations card which has been partially embossed at angles with the Argyle cuttlebug embossing folder and then sanded and distressed on the edges. To decorate I added the three colours of ribbon, buttons and Woodware sentiment.

I'm doing a colouring technique demo tomorrow at the Craft Barn from 10am-4pm so if anyone from blogland is in the vicinity and has any time to pop in it would be lovely see you. Take care and see you tomorrow with my BasicGrey Challenge crad. TFL. Chris

Flower bunch

Hi everyone, a card today for Mojo Monday Challenge and another really lovely sketch to follow and also for The Cuttlebug Challenge where this week the theme is 'water colour'. The image is 'Flower bunch' which will be available soon on my digi-stamps blog and I've coloured it with markers and then overpainted with Twinkling H2o water colour paints in green and gold. I've embossed all the card layers with either the swiss dots or stylised flower folders, the large white panel stylised flowers have also been water coloured with the H2o's. At the top of the white card blank I've scored some lines but I don't think they're showing up to well in the photograph, I've punched and glittered some butterflies for three elements at the side of the sketch and added the woodware sentiment and stickles to the bow on the flower bunch to finish. TFL. Chris

BasicGrey Challenge 25 - Sketch

Hi everyone, hope your weekend is off to a good start and you're ready for another BasicGrey challenge which this week is a great sketch by Martine. I hope you can join in this week and as always there's some absolutely fantastic inspiration from my DT friends, they amaze me every week with their stunning creations.

I've used a cute Penny Black bear image and water coloured it with Ranger distress inks, all the edges are sponged with black soot ink as are all the BasicGrey Sultry papers in the background. The white card has been embossed with the Houndstooth Cuttlebug folder and sponged with black soot and tattered rose ink, the vertical piece is also punched with the MS doily lace punch for the scalloped element. I mounted the panel under the image on dimension tape and added some pretty sheer dotted ribbon and bows. There's a little bit of stickles on the roses for a bit of sparkle and I made the photo corners with square nesties one inside the other to make a tiny frame and then cut on the diagonal. TFL. Chris

Colour Create Challenge 3

Hi everyone, hope your Valentine Day was romantic and you're ready for Colour Create Challenge 3. This week the colours are red, white and blue with an option of Holidays and Travel. There's some fantastic inspiration from my team mates and I hope you can join in.

My image is the luscious Primrose by Sandra Dry for Kadoodle Stamps, mmm I think that bikini is my size! I've coloured her with markers and cut out with a Nestability oval, matted on a scalloped oval of Navy Bazzil card. The little beach scene is various distressed, torn and embossed pieces of Bazzil card and some Nestability cut scalloped ovals cut in half, sponged and glittered for the clouds. The sentiment is Penny Black and the gorgeous twill deck chair style ribbon was from a blog candy I won recently, I'll have to find out where it came from I think it's gorgeous. Added some stardust stickles and a gem to finish. I've realised I can enter this also for the Cupcake challenge by the skin of my teeth as the challenge this week is a scene card. TFL. Chris

Pretty Window

Hi everyone, a card today for Stamp Something and a challenge of 'Summer in winter somethings' to make something summery for these winter days. I've used my 'pretty window' digi-stamp available here as pots of geraniums say summer to me. The image was printed out twice and is marker coloured. I coloured and cut out three of the flower heads from the second image to decoupage and then matted it on to pink sparkly and white card lifted up with dimension tape. The background card is pale pink Bazzil Bling which has been embossed with the distressed stripes folder for the effect of wood planked wall around the window. For decoration I added the flower with a little bow centre, half pearls, a strip of the sparkle card, tiny gem, glossy accents on the flower pots and stickles to the flowers. TFL. Chris x

Stocking full of love

Hi everyone and here's my card for House Mouse and friends where this week the challenge is 'Let it snow'. It's also my DT card as guest designer for the next two weeks which is a really lovely opportunity, I'm so happy to have been chosen for this as House Mouse stamps were amongst the first stamps I bought when I started. The image I've used is 'stocking full of love' and is marker coloured, dotted with a white gel pen and glittered with Cosmic Shimmer glitter jewels which unfortunately haven't shown up in the photograph. Image is matted on blue and then white card and mounted on dimension tape. Background paper is from a Dovecraft christmas pack matted on blue card, the centre horizontal panel is layered with more of this and lifted up on dimension tape with the blue and white ribbons tied around it. Added a vertical CB embossed white card panel, stamped sentiment and gems to finish. TFL.

Basic Grey Challenge 14 'So charming'

Hi everyone, here's my card for the Basic Grey Challenge and my first card as a member of the Design Team. I was thrilled to find out that I'd been chosen as I know how many amazingly talented crafters out there had also entered and how difficult it was for Martine to choose which is why she ended up with five instead of three! I'm very much looking forward to the weekly challenges and working with the incredibly talented members of the team who are all lovely and fun. I also look forward to seeing the creations of everyone who joins in with the challenges every week and finding some new blogs to stalk!
"For this weeks challenge we would like to see some charms on your creations, you can have as many as you like, and of course not forgetting to use at least 1 item from BasicGrey somewhere on your creations and for your wonderful efforts, one lucky person will win this fabby prize which has been kindly sponsored by CraftyKrafts."
There's a lovely prizes to be won too!

I've used BG Ambrosia papers and a native American image by Rubbernecker stamps. The image is marker coloured, cut out and layered over the paper which has been embossed with the branches CB embossing folder then sponged with black distress ink. I cut another piece of Ambrosia paper and layered these onto the blue card blank after distressing the edges and sponging. To continue the native American Indian theme I made a little dream catcher embellishment from a circle of the blue card cut with nestabilities. The web effect is made by knotting embroidery cotton and looping it around in layers until you get to the centre. I added beads, doodling, feathers and a little flower charm then mounted it on dimension tape as I did with the image. The sentiment is a Doodlebug rub on and I've added doodling around that and the card base and stickles to the image. TFL.

Hearts

Hi everyone and hope you've all had a good week. I've made a card for Cute Card Thursday where this week the challenge is 'hearts'. I'm hoping this will also be ok for Friday Sketchers which is the sketch I followed but had to modify a bit at the bottom as I had a disaster with ink all over my ribbon band, the extra hearts cover it up nicely! The cute Wilbur puppy image is a download from Pollycraft and is marker coloured, matted on red bazzil card and mounted on dimension tape. The hearts are cut with a nestability die and I embossed the larger one with a the winter village CB embossing folder then added the doodlebug candy dots. Put some rub on hearts on the smaller heart and filled them in with red stickles. Stamped the sentiment on to another nestie heart and made another heart with stickles. The gingham background paper is cut to fit the sketch I followed and layered over the brown cardstock base, I did some doodling and added the ribbon and bow. TFL.

Uplifting

Hi everyone, I've done a double challenge card today for A spoon full of sugar 'sparkle and bling' and Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge where there's a wonderful sketch to follow by my blogging friend Donna, it's Donna's first sketch for the DT so I hope there are lots of entries, it's also my first time for this challenge. I've used Penny Black's uplifting stamp which I stamped three times in Versafine black ink, pencil coloured and blended with Sansodor, cut out various elements and attached with gel glue. The background paper is Pebbles 'Swirls', the pink panel and image mat are Cordinations card. The vertical panel has been embossed with the paisley CB folder and then sanded and distressed. The scalloped element and bottom strip of the sketch are white bazzil card. I added lots of stickles, flowers, gems and a tiny bow for the sparkle and bling element. TFL.

Champagne Bear

Hi everyone, a card today for the SCS 'ways to use it' challenge which is 'ways to use plaid', which I suppose here equates to checks or tartan type pattern, this is also for Dutch Dare where the the challenge is Cardstock, so no patterned paper. I wanted to combine both challenges and to get over not being able to use paper came up with making my own check patterned background from plain white card by scoring a checked grid pattern on my scoreboard (I seem to be in a grid mood this week)! Next I used the distress inks and babywipe technique that I saw Jacqui (Cats Whiskers) use on a card recently and which I thought was a great idea (thanks Jacqui). Basically just dab the babywipe on the ink pad and colour your card, I did my colouring in alternating stripes of pine needle, faded jeans and tea dye, first one way and then the other. I've used my Forever Friends Champagne stamp and water coloured with distress inks attached to Bazzil Bling card. The sentiment is embossed with a cuttlebug folder and layered on more Bazzil bling cut with a scalloped cutter blade. Added the gems to finish. TFL.

Awareness

Hi everyone a card today for the SCS colour challenge of Pink, Black (which I forgot about and missed out!!!) and white. Every week this month there'll be a pink colour included in the challenge as October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. I make a click almost every day for my friend on the Breast Cancer website where clicks count towards free mammograms. I'll be making some more of these cards to go with this one and they'll be sent out to women who are suffering with this awful disease. The card is also for Papertake Weekly which has a lovely sketch by Katharina to follow and also for Cute Card Thursday where the challenge this week is Buttons and Bows. Hopefully the breast cancer awareness ribbon bows in the background paper will count for that element.

I used a Breast Cancer Awareness digital kit by Summer Driggs which is a free download, she has lots of other lovely kits and very generously lets anyone download them. I think I found the link on Madge's blog so thanks for that. I printed out the two papers I've used and layered them on white card and a scalloped nestie. The buttons are also from the kit which I've printed and cut out. I stamped the Inkadinkado bird and sentiment in Ancient Page ink. The white oblong panel is embossed with the cuttlebug swirls folder. TFL.

Christmas Tree Row

Hi everyone, this week the challenge on Dutch Dare is to make a Christmas card. I've used my Spiral Whisper 'Christmas Tree Row' stamp design which is water coloured with Distress inks and sprinkled with lovely sparkly glamour dust. The image is matted on sage green bazzil and popped up on dimension tape. The background layer is white card embossed in the cuttlebug and matted on the green bazzil. I added the little tab with a woodware sentiment and decorated with tartan ribbon, red bow and little gems. TFL.
