Paperbabe Stamps Challenge 16 - Hair

Hi everyone, it's a new challenge in Paperbabe Stamps blog today with the theme of 'Hair' for this fortnight. As always there's a great prize up for grabs.

I created a journal page for the hair theme, enjoying creating the girl's hair in a pen, pencil, gold metallic marker and charcoal doodled style with the Mixed Media Templates - Mini Portrait Face, the Doll Face mini stamp set and the Folk Fabrique stamp set. I've painted the background and added the words from a song for the pattern and for the link to hair in the lyrics, I find this a very relaxing way to create a background.

I used the templates for the face, hair and neck and shoulders and extended the body down to create the body. The face was cut from book text and the hair from white card and after drawing around the hair over the top of the face I was able to match my pieces together to creat the entire girl which I then cut out. My original intention was to make a canvas but in the end I chose to put her into the journal where it's nice to see the Paperbabe stamps mixed media girls that I've made all together.

Have a lovely weekend.

Chris x
