Bee Costume

Hi everyone, I accidentially uploaded the new Christmas blog header I've made when I was testing it out but as I'd done it, I decided to leave it even if it is a bit early, it makes me feel more Christmassy. A card today for Friday Sketchers where there's a great sketch to follow from Bea, Dutch Dare and a challenge of 'three flowers' and ABC with a challenge of 'ribbon'. The Penny Black 'Bee Costume' image (Tx) is marker coloured, stickled, edge sponged/distressed and layered over Black Magic card which is also edge distressed/torn, scored and slightly sanded and gorgeous lime spotted Scenic Route paper which was part of my prize from the House Mouse challenge a couple of weeks ago. Added ribbon, flowers, more stickles and Imaginisce sentiment to finish. It seems to be all tall cards this week, it's nice for a change but they're definitely harder to photograph! TFL.

My Sister and Me

Hi everyone, I've made a tag today for Dutch Dare where the challenge is 'anything but a card' and also for Tag you're it with a challenge of 'Tic-Toc', not sure if I'm in time (lol) for TGI, hope I am! I started with a thick white card tag and two thick card die cut flowers, all these were sponged with Ranger distress inks and edged with black. I stamped over this in black with an Elzybells sentiment stamp 'we laugh, we cry, we make time fly, best friends are we, my sister and me' which I love and also with a clock face by Stamps Away. I added the huge gems which were a present from my lovely friend in Canada, gold liquid pearls (I took a close up shot of the tag because I think the pearls look like icing!), stickles and oddments of ribbon for decoration. TFL.

A flower for you

Hi everyone, a card for Dutch Dare where the challenge this week is a colour combination of pink, black and purple. I've used a Pink Petticoat image download (I'm addicted to these) which I've coloured with markers and a purple sparkly gel pen. The paper behind the image is also PP and is a leopard print in purple and black, this and the image are matted on purple bazzil card. I've embossed the card base with the CB Swirls folder, added the purple ribbon and some doodling to finish. TFL.
