Happy Valentine’s Day!

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>
Happy Valentine’s Day everyone, I hope you’ve all been showered with love :)!
A card today for Just Magnolia Challenge and a theme of ‘Love’, Double Dutch where it’s ‘Be my Valentine’, Stamp with fun ‘Hearts’ and The Pink Elephant ‘Mushy, Gushy Valentine’.
I’ve stamped the ever so cute Ladybug Tilda and water coloured her with distress inks, cut her out with a nestabilities die, added lots of stickles, copic spica glitter pen and glossy accents to her spotty jacket. The background paper is also by Magnolia and I’ve faux stitched around the edges of it. There’s a border of white card with punched with the doily lace punch finished off and red dotted ribbon and to finish off I added the Magnolia ‘Loving Wishes’ sentiment which I cut in half after stamping and some clear gems.
Have a cosy evening and TFL.

BasicGrey Challenge 17 - First sketch of 2009

Hi everyone and here is the first BasicGrey Challenge of 2009 and the DT have some stunning creations on the blog to show you. I hope you'll have the chance to join in this week and there's also a great prize to be won.
From the blog:

"I thought I would start 2009 with a sketch, so i have drew this one up for you to play with, feel free to resize or flip the sketch, just as long as the original sketch can be seen in your creation you are good to go, and of course not forgetting to use at least one item from BasicGrey somewhere in your creation :)"
My image is a Penny Black which I've water coloured with Ranger Distress Inks and glittered all over the background with diamond stickles. All the elements of the sketch are cut from BG Recess papers and mounted on a yellow card blank. I added some doodling, distressing, fibre, a gem, Elzybells sentiment and glossy accents to the toadstool to decorate. Have a great weekend.

I just received this lovely award from Dawn, thanks Dawn it's very much appreciated and I would like to pass it on to the lovely Dawn, Kathy and Jilli.

Materials:
Paper: BasicGrey Recess, yellow Canford card

Ski Lift

Hi everyone and here's my card for Our Creative Corner where the challenge this week is 'Bling on the Bling'. I've used my new design for Spiral Whisper stamps, 'Ski Lift' background and the absolutely gorgeous 'Harry Skiing' by the very talented Spiral Whisper stamp designer Kerry Steptoe. Both of the images are pencil coloured, blended with Sansodor and Harry has been cut out and popped up on dimension tape. I added glossy accents to Harry's skiis, the ski lift (can't at the moment remember what these little compartments are called!) windows and stickles over the snow for the bling element of the challenge. To give some more shine/bling and a snowy feel I embossed a piece of thin shiny white paper with the bubbles CB folder but unfortunately it doesn't show up too well in the picture. The sentiment stamp is by Woodware, ribbon and snowflake charm from stash. TFL.

Back soon,
Chris
