Funky Christmas

Hi everyone, a card for Penny Black where the challenge this week is 'Funky Christmas'. The gorgeous hedgehog image (Tx) is marker coloured and doodled with a white gel pen for the snow. The image and striped paper are matted on bazzil bling one cut with Labels 1 nestability die and the image panel is mounted on dimension tape. Background paper and striped paper are Pink Petticoat. I punched two flower with a retro flower punch and embossed with the CB Swiss Dots embossing folder. Added another prima style flower, gems and ribbon to finish. TFL.

Sledging Hedgies

Hi everyone, a card for Penny Black and Papertake weekly where this week the themes are 'sparkling' and also for Basic Grey and a challenge of Christmas.

For my card I've used a gorgeous PB sledging hedgies image (thanks T x) which is marker coloured, and stickled for highlights. The holly leaf border around the nestie cut oval is made with two Kars punches that are a set. The first punch cuts a flap and the second which you position over the flap is the holly leaf. The flap allows the leaves to slide over the edge of the card. I cut these from green bazzil card and glittered them with gold stickles. The background papers are Basic Grey figgy pudding which have been edge distressed and layered on red bazzil. I sandwiched the satin ribbon between two of the paper layers and the image is mounted on foam tape. Finished off with a sentiment and gem.

Relaxing Hedgie

Hi and today's card is for Penny Black Saturday where the challenge this week is to follow a sketch. I've used a cute hedgehog relaxing in his hammock (thanks Tania) which is pencil coloured and blended with Sansodor. Background papers are all by Pebbles Inc., lovely flower, travel stripe and travel dot and the white card has been embossed with the CB swiss dots folder. I punched flowers with an EK success retro flower punch and moulded them with a ball tool for some shape then added black half pearls for the centres. The swirl corners are cut with a sizzix die. What I've ended up with here is a bit busy for me but I do love these papers!

I'd Pick You

A card for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge which was to work from a sketch. I received the cute hedgehog image from a friend and water coloured it with Distress Inks, edged and highlighted with a Sakura glitter pen and matted on Pink Petticoat paper. I cut other pieces of the same PP paper and arranged over the card blank in line with the sketch. The Elzybells sentiment which I think goes perfectly with the PB image was stamped in Versafine black and arranged in the same way. I added Prima flowers with gems and glitter pen to finish. TFL.
