TOMIC - challenge # 4

Oh dear!!!

Hi everyone!. It's Monday, so it's a new TOMIC Challenge today with our theme this week being 'Shimmer and Pearls'. There's wonderful inspiration from my DT friends, a gorgeous prize from Magnolia for our randomly picked winner, the chance to be one of our Top 5 entrants and a guest DT spot to be won so we hope you'll join us.

I've stamped the sweet Magnolia Tilda with bird for my flower shaped card and coloured her with markers. I stamped the circle under the image panel with a Magnolia flourish stamp using Distress Ink and all the edges are sponged with Walnut Stain distress ink. I've also added a DooHickey die cut fence, Sizzix Alterations die cuts and some hand dyed seam binding. My shimmer is from Stardust Stickles glitter glue and a spray of Pearl glimmer mist over everything and I have pearls at the corners.

Have a good Monday :)

All Sorts Challenges

Hi everyone. It's a new challenge on Allsorts Challenges today and my next card as guest designer. This week the challenge is 'inspired by nature' chosen by Fleur and there's lots of gorgeous inspiration from the DT so I hope you can join in. I've used one of my new floral digi images 'Freesias' and coloured it with markers. I've made the card into a gate fold style and used an embossing folder for the background pieces, some nestability die cuts for the layers, Webster's pages trim and some pearl pen dots and stickles to decorate.

Enjoy your Saturday!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi everyone and Happy Valentine's Day, I hope you're knee deep in cards and gifts...........just like me :D!! Today's card is made using the new 'Love' set by Katzelkraft Stamps and the flower vase stamp and the sentiment from the plate are stamped in brown memento ink and coloured with copics. The stamping around the edge is another Katzelkraft tree stamp (just the branches stamped) from  Trees 02 and I've added stickles to the vase and gold pearl pen dots to decorate along with the hand dyed ribbon.

Hope you have a lovely day today.

Another wishing well day at the Craft Barn blog today and this time we're making shaker cards which is a wish granted for Jan who wins a prize for having her question picked and asked the team for ideas of how to make a Christmas Shaker card.  On the Craft Barn Blog there's a great step by step from Michelle with a very clever idea for these and also a step by step from me on how I made the card above together with the materials list and chance to win a prize for leaving a comment.

Enjoy your day and thank you for your lovely comments, I always appreciate them.

BasicGrey Challenges 28 - Paper Piecing and DT CALL

Hi everyone, hope you've all had a good week and a bit of sunshine! A new challenge on BasicGrey Challenges today and some news about our challenge too which is further down in the post. For this challenge we're paper piecing and my DT friends have made some beautiful paper pieced cards for inspiration so I hope you can join us. I've chosen a digi image by Cristy Croll which I've paper pieced digitally onto Websters Pages Sweet as Cherry Pie paper printed on textured card and coloured with copics. The background paper is from BasicGrey's Lemonade collection and I've added a punched border, purple ribbon and a punched flower to finish off.

The news: we're having a DT call! So if you fancy joining our little BasicGrey challenges family and love BasicGrey products then all the details are below.

Hey all
The team and i think its about time we had some new faces added to our little BasicGrey Challenges Family, don't you?, so we have decided to run a Design Team Call and we are looking for 4 new members to add to our little Family :)

If you do not have a blog to link to then by all means feel free to Email Us your Applications :)
DT Requirements
As a DT Member you would be required to take part in our Fortnightly Challenges following the theme of the set Challenge, you will know all of the upcoming challenges in advance, so not to worry, You would also be required to take part in any other events that we may hold, like a Blog Hop for example :) (one of which will be held very very soon)
Part Of Another Design Team
Not to worry, as long as you can commit to the BasicGrey Challenges DT and are not conflicted with other DT work then of course feel free to apply, but please consider the new workload before you apply, the last thing we want is for you to struggle to keep up with the Challenges, this is meant to be fun and stress free, not a job that you feel obliged to do, so again please do keep that in mind :)
No Previous Design Team Experience
Not a problem at all, we welcome all applications whether you have DT experience or not, in fact we would encourage peeps with no previous DT experience to try out for our Design Team, more so over those that do, we want to give everyone a fair chance :)
No Blog
No problem, a blog is not required to be part of the BasicGrey Challenges Family, as long as you have an active Email account so you can send us your DT Creations then that is fine and dandy :)

House Mouse Monday

Hi everyone, a card today for the House Mouse challenge of distressing. I've used the cute teapot house mouse stamp again and coloured it with copic markers this time. The papers are BasicGrey Kioshi and I've used dot embossed green and pink card for the other layers, the pink is distressed with scissors at the edges and all the layers are edged with walnut stain distress ink and some are stickled too. To decorate I've used white flowers highlighted with stickles, white swiss dots ribbon, green gems and a pink sparkle gel pen. I used a previous sketch from Mojo Monday for the layout. Hope you all had a good weekend. TFL.
