It was a lovely day with the company of five very lovely ladies whose skills, styles and finished cards were beautiful.
There's a new letter up on the Alpha Challenge which went up last Sunday actually and as my post didn't go live I've included it with this one. The new letter is 'H' and I've used a gorgeous Crafty Individuals stamp 'Bird House Collage' to showcase my word which is 'home'.
I put down a layer if gesso first and then stamped the image in black ink. I added my words with a black fine liner pen and then over the top of the image added a layer of Rock Candy distress paint. The distress paint intensifies the black of the stamped image to give a nice rich black colour.
I'm still thoroughly enjoying this challenge and seeing all the wonderful pages and ways of doing them that everyone is creating, it's not too late to join in either and there are all manner of ways that it can be done, not just in a dictionary.

I am sure those ladies loved the Copic class you gave, Chris & I am sure they learned a lot given your love of colour which shows in these fabulous flowers. Fab work with the gesso & dictionary too. Very creative.

Love your dictionary page - that stamp is wonderful and black and white are always in style!!!!! I finished my "H" page and now have started my "M" page. This is so much fun Chris and gives me a chance to learn some stuff too!
