Paperbabe Stamps - Bottlebrush Trees and The Funkie Junkie 12 Tags of Christmas

Hi everyone, hope your week is off to a good start. I have a tag to share today using stamps from the gorgeous Paperbabe Stamps Bottlebrush Trees stamp set and to enter into Linda Coughlin's 12 Tags of Christmas 2013 hosted by the Funkie Junkie Boutique. I'm really pleased Linda is hosting the tags again this year, it really makes me get on and do them although, this time I'm really late starting as this is the first.

To join in it's simple you make a tag or whatever taking inspiration from Linda's tag and then add it to the linky. In order to qualify for the prizes all the tags have to be completed within the set time and linked back. Everything is explained with tag one here which is my starting point and there are now going to be 14 tags to end on 8th January the last two with a thank you theme added in.

I've taken inspiriation from Linda's tag in the black and white chalk board style with a little hint of colour plus the snowflakes.

All the stamps I've used for this are from the gorgeous Bottlebrush tree stamp set and over on the Paperbabe Stamps blog I've added a little explanation of what I did. I've given some dimension to the tag by lifting up the centre panel and die cut frame and also with the lace, the white painted Artcuts wooden stars, pearls, lace and tag and I've finished off with a bit of shabby white embossing powder.

Enjoy your day.

Hi Chris, Welcome back to the 12 Tags of Christmas Funkie Junkie Style. So happy to have you playing with us again this year. I absolutely LOVE your take on my chalkboard style tag - Kim's bottlebrush tree looks sensational in that style - a very fresh and inspiring slant on this tag! I don't know if you noticed, but I have extended the deadline for linking up through Jan. 8th and hope you will be able to complete all 12 by that time! Looking forward to seeing more.

Hugs,
Linda

Hey Chris - I guess you know you are on the cover of the January's Stamper magazine. I save every issue and hopefully I will start trying some of the ideas. You were my first love - when I found your art work I went WOW! And then you introduced me to art journaling and you encouraged me to do my first canvas. If I remember correctly, you challenged me!! Your canvas sits right here on my desk and I do love it.

Goodness gracious, that bottle tree looks real! In fact I thought your make was a shadow box with the bottle tree inside the frame. I do love the black frame and tag - quite elegant and certainly not of everyday mill variety.
Beautifully done as always Chris.
Merry Christmas to you and your husband and I hope that 2014 will be a good one for you both.

The bottlebrush tree is fantastic and looks wonderful against the chalkboard look background. I love the pops of red - a really stunning tag. Like Sandy, you are one of the first people who inspired me to create - thank you so much for your continued inspiration. Hugs, Anne x
