Hi everyone, hope you're all making the most of the glorious weather we're having here. A card today for the Copic Creations Challenge where this week the theme is 'Wood'. I really enjoyed the challenge and there are lots of tips on the blog on how to achieve the effect, plus it's packed with many links and colouring info so thanks ladies for a good challenge. This is the first time I've tried to do a wood effect for a piece of furniture, I thought this cute Alota Rubber Stamps image would be a good one to give it a try and I'm fairly pleased with how it came out in some areas more than others and it's great to have learned a new way to colour it. A simple card apart from the colouring which took a while, some Kraft card sponged with vintage photo distress ink and a piece of doodlebug patterned paper. I've faux stitched around the layers with a white gel pen, added a papermania stamped sentiment and some stickles. Have a good Sunday. TFL. Chris x

Happy Easter. Colour Create Challege Eleven -
Happy Easter everyone. I hope you're all having a very special Easter. Time for another Colour Create Challenge and this week the challenge is brought to us by the lovely Tab, a colour combo of brown, beige and cream with an optiion of distressing. Gorgeous colours I'm sure you'll agree and distressing is one of my favourite things to do on most of my cards so thanks Tab for a great challenge, I enjoyed it very much. I hope you can join us this week, pop over to the blog for some fantastic inspiration from my DT friends. For this week I've made an ATC and used a cute little Alota Rubber Stamps image which is water coloured with distress inks, cut out and attached with gel glue. The base is bazzil cardstock sponge distressed with Versafine sepia ink and the pp is BasicGrey Archaic which is distressed on the edges with a distressing tool. I added various buttons from stash, doodled and added a sheer ribbon at the top. TFL. Chris x

Alota Bug Egg - Stamp with fun challenge
Hi everyone, a card today for Stamp with fun where this week there's a sketch to follow. My image is by Alota Rubber Stamps and is watercoloured with distress inks and cut out. I also stamped the little bug head as two images are required for the sketch. I've added nestie cut scalloped ovals behind the images cut from turquoise card and used the same to mat the WRMK Nonense paper and Woodware sentiment. Everything is layered with glue gel onto the white scalloped card blank which is sponged with distress ink. TFL. Chris x

Alota Bug - Friday Sketchers
Hi everyone, a card today for Friday Sketchers and a lovely sketch to follow by Emily. I've used my cute Alota Rubber Stamps bug in present which is watercoloured with Distress Inks and then cut out. The papers are from the WRMK Nonense pad and are glittered, beautifully sparkly and such rich colours and bold patterns, so this is probably the busiest looking card I've ever made, not too sure about it on the whole! All the paper edges have been distressed and I've added lots of buttons over the ribbon, a little cut out frame which came with the paper pack as the tag element of the sketch and a sentiment by Woodware. Colour Create Challenge 8 - Navy, Turquoise and Lime

Morning everyone and Happy Mother's Day to all the blogging Mum's out there in the UK where we celebrate at the beginning of spring. I hope you'll have a lovely day and good amount of spoiling! Colour Create Challenge day today and challenge number eight is a lovely colour combination of Navy, Turquoise and Lime chosen by my extremely talented DT friend Sarita who makes the most amazing and beautiful cards. The option Sarita chose is no designer paper as she mainly stamps her backgrounds with the prettiest of background stamps. I really enjoyed using this technique so thanks Sarita for a great challenge. I hope you can join in this week and there's some fantastic inspiration from my design team friends for ideas on how to interpret the challenge. The image is by Alota Rubber Stamps and is water coloured with distress inks and decorated with stickles so it's very sparkly IRL! The card base of a dark turquoise card is stamped using some Stempelglede scroll stamps and navy ink. The layer over the card blank is made from white card stamped with a flower stamp and versamark ink which has been heat embossed with clear embossing powder, sponged all over the paper with faded jeans and broken china distress inks and then the embossing ironed off to reveal the white paper under the stamped flowers. The flowers are then coloured with lime green sparkle gel pen. I've used this method again on the lime paper layer and added the ribbon and green gem to finish. TFL. Chris x

Canyon Road
Hi everyone a card today for ABC where this week there's a colour challenge of blue and brown. There's a teeny bit of green and gold but it's predominantly blue/browns so hope it's acceptable. My image is one of my digi images 'Canyon Road' which is now available and is marker coloured then edged with distress ink. The little cowboy is by Alota Rubber Stamps also marker coloured then cut out. I've made a card blank from acetate and mounted the background image on the inside and the cut out cowboy on the front. Two holes have been punched at the folded edge which are threaded with some parcel tape. To finish I added the sentiment on the front stamped with black stayzon ink and I cut a piece of paper the same size as the background image and attached on back of the card and over the image panel so that reverse of the image doesn't show. I've realised now that I've uploaded the card that I forgot to cut out the centre loop of the rope, doh! Hope you're all having a good week. TFL. Chris
