Art Book - Hearts and Flowers

Hi everyone, hope you're all well today. I'm sharing a play in my art book today and came up with this hearts and flowers spread. I was looking for an idea for a canvas that I'll be doing very shortly which will be a raffle prize in aid of a Macmillan cancer support coffee morning that a friend is holding soon. It's looking like the right hand page will be the basis of the canvas, I'll post it once it's done. I'm going to use a different flower image from the Nicecrane designs Henderson's Giant Flowering Vol. 2 set, there are roses that might look nice.  I used an amyrillis on the left page which came out very faintly and the tulips on the right. I may well do this again though as another canvas for myself exactly as it is as I love tulips.

More shots below and a little blurb on what was used etc.

The background is gesso and then I did gel medium image transfers of the Nicecrane designs followed by modelling paste through a Wendy Vecchi heart stencil. On top of the heart I added glass bead gel and when it was all thoroughly dry added the background paintm the small hearts through a stencil and paint over the hearts with various gorgeous DecoArt paints: Desert Turquoise, Spa Blue, Cadmium yellow and DecoArt Traditions paints: Transparent Yellow Oxide, Quinacridone Gold, Red Violet.

All my stamping is done with Prima texture stamps, a Prima Butterfly stamp and a Crafty Individuals diamond pattern stamp. The text is stamped in black Versafine and the other stamping with paints used and additionally white Distress paint.

I did some outline doodling with black fineliner pen, lettering with a white Posca paint marker outlined with the black pen and in some areas I added a bit of charcoal to bring some depth. Over the top of the hearts I highlighted with white rub 'n' buff, I hope they never stop making it, it's an absolute staple product for me.

I'm drawn to the above view now with the right page and half of the left page, so that could possibly be the basis for the canvas....good how ideas can be formulated in an art book/journal, by writing a post and taking and looking at lots of photo's.  Thanks for popping by today and thanks as always for your lovely comments.
