Paperbabe Stamps Challenge 44

Hi everyone, it's the start of a new challenge at Paperbabe Stamps and this time we have a great inspiration photo to work from. As always there's a voucher to be won and you don't have to use Paperbabe stamps to enter so I hope you can join us.

I made a Halloween tag using the Dillon Batwings image stamp and then stamps from the great design building stamp set Design a Tweed to bring in the hounds tooth element from the inspiration photo.

I've got some of the beige colour in my background too.

Dillon is coloured with watercolour and pencils and other stamping is done with pigment inks.

Hope you have a great weekend.

Magnolia-licious - Penny Black

Hi everyone, I have a card for Magnolia-licious challenge blog today using another stamp from the gorgeous Penny Black 'Mimi's Winter Friends' transparent set. This cute Mimi is coloured with watercolour markers and a bit of pencil here and there.

The background is water coloured and and I've added a stamped border with the poinsettia garland from the set. There's a bit of smudged black outlining of Mimi and the garland and I've added a sprinkling of snow with Frantage shabby blue embossing powder and stardust stickles. The card base is coloured to tone in with Ranger Distress ink in iced spruce. My decorations are die cut glitter card tiny snowflakes and sentiment, holly leaves and some pearls, lace and a flower.

As always there's lots of fantastic inspiration from my team mates over on the challenge blog through each week. Enjoy your day!

Candlestick Cottage

A card with another of my Kadoodle Cottage series of stamp designs. This is Candlestick Cottage and it was named by Sandy, owner of The Craft Barn, home of Kadoodle Stamps. The image is pencil coloured and blended with Sansodor and a paper stump. I've matted the image on the reverse side of the wonderful paper that Sandy gave me to make up my samples and this is also available at The Craft Barn, it's mounted on dimension tape. The side border is cut again from the reverse of the paper with a scalloped blade, punched with a hole punch and threaded with pale gold ribbon. The sentiment is computer generated.

My friend Sandra was also demonstrating her new stamps today and they're absolutely stunning. Primrose has got my name on her, they're so funny and different. Fantastic Sandra!

I'd like to thank everyone who came to visit me today at the Craft Barn Extravaganza, it was a great pleasure to meet you all and also to chat with a couple of blogging friends who popped in. I had an absolutely wonderful and enjoyable day and am looking forward to tomorrow.

Back soon,
Chris
