Magnolia-liscious

Hi everyone, I'm back today with a card for Magnolia-liscious and with a sweet Wee Stamps Halloween image WEE 131 Hazel. I've coloured Hazel with distress and watercolour markers and added some doodled cobwebs and shadows for a bit of atmosphere!

The image panel is mounted on foam tape for some dimension, I created a watercoloured piece under the image with the same colours as those used for the image and again added some cobwebs. There's a lot of sparkle from black stickles, a coloured with distress stain ribbon, die cut and distress ink coloured Tim Holtz swirls and some watercoloured die cut leaves (love the shapes of them and thank you to my lovely friend for giving them to me as a gift xo). To finish off I've added some liquid pearls.

Back soon and as always thank you for the lovely comments, they're always appreciated.

Paperbabe Stamps - September Lauch Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to the
September Launch Blog Hop!

Kim and her friends are doing a hop a long to introduce the new stamps with samples as they go up for sale in the shop today! I've worked with MayLeeDee Witchily and what a pleasure she is to colour in all her beautiful guises! I also worked with the Cumulus cloud background stamp which is another stamp that will be a favourite stamp to use in many ways.

After colouring MayLeeDee with pencils and sponging a distress ink background I went on to stamp the cloud background in Faded Jeans distress ink and when dry I attached a piece of double sided adhesive sheet to the image. After removing the top protective sheet I sprinkled the adhesive a transparent fine glitter and after removing the excess buffed with a soft cloth (burnished glitter technique) to give a really gorgeous sparkle to the cloudy background.

The rest is fairly simple, some brightly coloured flora and greenery a chit chat sticker, some die cuts and pearls to decorate. Hope you enjoy the blog hop and if you need to start at the beginning then pop over to Paperbabe Stamps blog for all the details.

Wicked

Hi everyone and wishing a very spooky All Hallows Eve :)! Here's Tilda flying off to play her part in Wicked and she's got her green make-up on too :). I painted her with distress inks, cut her out and then placed on top of a distress ink background wash where I've added some building shapes to the bottom. The papers are all by Magnolia and I've die cut the word Wicked with the Tim Holtz Market die and covered it with stickles. The moon is cut with Nestabilities circles and then embossed with a stars embossing folder and I've made a drippy spiders web with stickles too. The papers are distressed with paint and I've used an MS border punch. I followed Heather's sketch for BG challenges this week which I loved and I hope to have my card on for that in the next few days.

I'm entering this card into Magnolia Down Under challenge where the theme is Halloween inspired.
Have a spooky evening!

Evil Pumpkins

Hi everyone, here's a card for A spoonful of sugar where the challenge this week is Halloween. I almost didn't post this card, the pumpkins are so evil looking I thought they'd frighten everyone away! Hopefully not! Another step card and my design 'Silhouette Houses' for Spiral Whisper which has been stamped in versafine on white card then cut around to shape the top. I coloured all the windows with a glaze pen, sponged the scene all around the houses with Ranger distress inks and mounted on the back step of the card. The evil pumpkins are circles of card cut with nestabilities, pencil coloured, blended with Sansodor then drew on the faces and coated them in black stickles, they didn't seem so frightening until the stickles! Two of the sentiments are attached to curled jewellery wire and attched with gel glue at the bottom of the second step behind the pumpkins. Added a sentiment to the front step to finish. The paper for the card and the sentiments are from the Funky Fairies free Halloween download. TFL. Hope you aren't too spooked to come back soon.
