Back to a Christmas card

Hi everyone, a card today with the gorgeous Jolly Tilda and which I entered into the PCE magazine competition. I was very excited when I found out that I was one of the runners up and have a lovely prize of craft goodies on the way to me, can’t wait for it to arrive.

The Jolly Tilda was stamped twice and masked so that I could stamp the Magnolia snowflake circle for her to be sitting on, I also cut out her head and arms as extra pieces, coloured them and used them to 3d the image. I’ve cut around her legs before die cutting with a large nestabilities plain circle die too. The image is water coloured with Ranger distress inks and glittered with stickles and a spica clear pen. Background paper is a lovely winter text paper from Magnolia which is distressed, edge inked and faux stitched and to finish I added some punched glittered snowflakes, Magnolia flowers spritzed with pearl glimmer mist, brown dotty sheer ribbon, some gems and a scalloped die cut and pierced circle behind the image.

I’m entering my card into the My Time to Craft challenge where this time, anything goes. Hope you’re having a good weekend. TFL

I know that I would end up cutting off the legs if I tried the technique you mentioned! I'd have a collection of legless Tilda's! lol

Awesome card, Chris. Your technique is stunning. The multi colours on the image itself is outstanding. Your double masking turned out well; I like how you used the snowflake circle and how the legs dangle over. Congratulations on your win!

Congrats on winning runner up...I honestly can't believe you didn't win. The watercolouring is so amazing I thought it was paper pieced from some gorgeous designer paper. The presents look so real too; I just want to grab one off the screen.

I've been MIA from blogging. It took me two days to go through my blog reader and catch up on my fave blogs...and I only go through "A - H"! Most of the blogs I follow begin with "S", like yours. I gave up, and now I am just going through most recent posts and leaving a comment. I went through pages of your posts before coming back here. I love your Santa card (November) and those triangle cards (December).

Thank you for leaving me such a lovely comment on my blog yesterday; you are a lovely friend!
