Cabinet cards - SSS stamp without ink

Hi everyone, hope your weekend is going well so far. At Simon Says Stamp and Show this week the challenge is stamp without ink so I've made Christmas cards with my Sizzix Cabinet Card die to go along with the theme.
Although the challenge is stamp without ink embossing ink is allowed and I've used that for the stamping in conjunction with Perfect Pearls powders in Heirloom Gold and Pearl which creates a lovely effect for Christmas cards over the distress inked backgrounds.

I've used the Tim Holtz snowflakes stamps and an Impression Obsession cover a card stamp (thin stripes) to create the stamped parts of my backgrounds and this is done on theoutside and the inside of all the cards.

I've coloured white seam binding with the distress inks used to make the cards and all the die cut and punched elements are cut from plain kraft card. The sentiments are from the Tim Holtz seasonal chit chat stickers and I've added some wooden lazer cut snowflakes and pearl pen dots to finish off.

I cut six cards altogether so three more to make :D!

Have a lovely evening.

Great idea for a Christmas card - they had lots of nice detail and yet the still look achievable to make in multiples. Great colour combo and I love the CAC stamping on both layers.

I LOVE how your creative brain works! Tim's vintage cabinet card has never been used in a more beautiful way! I totally love your cards and all of the embossed images you've used in creating such gorgeous covers for your cards. The distress inking is done to perfection! The colored seam tape is such a lovely addition. The little laser cut snowflakes are a great embellishment! Thanks so much for sharing these lovely cards with us at Simon Says Stamp and Show! Anyone would be proud to receive one! <3 Candy

Chris, Love the cards. The colors are unusual for Christmas and that is what I like about them. Love how you used the "on the edge" dies to finish off the cards.

Great idea to use dies in different ways. I always thought of this die as a grave marker and steered away from it. Now I see it has other lives!
