Hi everyone hope you had a good week .
It's time for
...and this time we're asking everyone to get their
Ombré on! Basically a take on some of the articles in the current issue of Craft Stamper Magazine one of which is mine. My article is a graduated colouring technique and
Ombré hair colouring. I was so proud to be on the cover again too, have to pinch myself when I look at it :D!
For my card today I made an
ombré background for my card by graduating the inks I'd also used for stamping the image panel, blending them together where the colours met to give a soft graduation over my snowflake embossed background piece. I hightlighted some of the snowflakes with stardust stickles and wrapped round a piece of twine before adding it to the card base.
I used the fabulous Paperbabe Stamps sets
Reindeer Fusions and
Bottle Brush Tree combining the smaller stamps in
Reindeer Fusions to make my holly and candy cane border around the edge of the image. The background trees are from
Bottle Brush Tree.
I embellished the card with a die cut poinsettia flower, punched glitter card holly leaves lots of stickles around the trees and deer and on the ornaments on the deer's antlers. The baubles are actually separate stamps to be added to the deer stamp afterwards. I've added a die cut snowflake and sentiment and self adhesive pearls to finish off.
Hope you'll join us in the
take it, make it challenge and this time the
prizes are fantastic DVDs by Kate Crane and the winner of the next challenge will be a future guest designer on our mid way challenge post!
Enjoy your day,
