Craft Stamper - Take it, Make It Challenge Six: Halfway Reminder

Hi everyone, catching up a bit late with my tag for
but better late than never :-)!

I've used a Tando flower stencil to create my graduation this time spritzed with Dylusions inks in dark to light and the turned the stencil over and used it like a stamp. I also outlined the flowers in black and white pens and stamped the background with Kaisercraft texture stamps: postmarks and dictionary.

I moulded a clay butterfly and it's been painted with Decoart paints with a bit of black frantage embossing powder over the top.

Hope you'll join in with the challenge, there's a great prize on offer and superb inspiration from my team mates.

Back soon,

Craft Stamper Take it - make it Challenge 6

Hi everyone hope you had a good week .
It's time for
...and this time we're asking everyone to get their Ombré on! Basically a take on some of the articles in the current issue of Craft Stamper Magazine one of which is mine. My article is a graduated colouring technique and Ombré hair colouring. I was so proud to be on the cover again too, have to pinch myself when I look at it :D!

For my card today I made an ombré background for my card by graduating the inks I'd also used for stamping the image panel, blending them together where the colours met to give a soft graduation over my snowflake embossed background piece. I hightlighted some of the snowflakes with stardust stickles and wrapped round a piece of twine before adding it to the card base.

I used the fabulous Paperbabe Stamps sets Reindeer Fusions and Bottle Brush Tree combining the smaller stamps in Reindeer Fusions to make my holly and candy cane border around the edge of the image. The background trees are from Bottle Brush Tree.

I embellished the card with a die cut poinsettia flower, punched glitter card holly leaves lots of stickles around the trees and deer and on the ornaments on the deer's antlers. The baubles are actually separate stamps to be added to the deer stamp afterwards. I've added a die cut snowflake and sentiment and self adhesive pearls to finish off.

Hope you'll join us in the take it, make it challenge and this time the prizes are fantastic DVDs by Kate Crane and the winner of the next challenge will be a future guest designer on our mid way challenge post!

Enjoy your day,

Craft Stamper - Take Make It Challenge Four

Hi everyone, back again today with my project for the Craft Stamper Blog's 'Take it, make it Challenge number four and this time our challenge is taken from Kim Costello's beautiful acetate article on page 46 of the current issue (September) of the magazine.

The prize on offer for the winner of the challenge apart from being published in the magazine is a gift voucher from  a sprinkle of imagination.

I love Kim's takes on acetate, she always has such imaginative ideas so I enjoyed finding a way to use some acetate that was part of some packaging on a die which I'd saved. I used my Sizzex Tim Holtz Bigz pillow box die to cut the acetate and then I inked it all over with alcohol inks, stamped with a Kaiserkraft texture stamp and decorated with Cheery Lynn build a flower and butterfly dies, lace, twine and pearl pen pearls.

Hope you'll join us in the challenge :)!
