Magnolia-liscious

Hi everyone, I'm back today with a card for Magnolia-liscious and with a sweet Wee Stamps Halloween image WEE 131 Hazel. I've coloured Hazel with distress and watercolour markers and added some doodled cobwebs and shadows for a bit of atmosphere!

The image panel is mounted on foam tape for some dimension, I created a watercoloured piece under the image with the same colours as those used for the image and again added some cobwebs. There's a lot of sparkle from black stickles, a coloured with distress stain ribbon, die cut and distress ink coloured Tim Holtz swirls and some watercoloured die cut leaves (love the shapes of them and thank you to my lovely friend for giving them to me as a gift xo). To finish off I've added some liquid pearls.

Back soon and as always thank you for the lovely comments, they're always appreciated.

BasicGrey Challenges - 6 - Colour Combo

Hi everyone, hope you're all off with a good start to the weekend. We have a new challenge at BasicGrey challenges today with a lovely colour combination of  green red and blue and if you include a BasicGrey product you can be in with a chance of being entered into the monthly draw. There's some fantastic cards from my DT friends which I hope you can pop over to see and that you'll join us for the challenge. I'm also entering this card into the Just Magnolia challenge which this week is bright and zingy.

I've used the gorgeous Magnolia Dinner Tilda and I've water coloured her with distress inks. The matting layers are red and blue bazzil card and BasicGrey Eskimo Kisses paper, I've done a bit of sponging on the edges and punched a border with an MS punch. The base card is pale green and I've stamped onto that with an Artistic Stamper dot background stamp in Fired Brick distress ink which I've rubbed off in places with a tissue. Added some doodling in red pen, some stickles, red flowers, a white rub on sentiment which I don't think shows up too well and I rounded some of the corners with a corner rounder punch to finish. Have a good weekend. TFL.

Frilly Flowers

Hi everyone, hope you all enjoyed your weekend and that all the Mum's had a lovely day yesterday. A card today for Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge and a theme of 'favourite colour'. I seem to be enjoying a lot of orangey colours lately so I think it's my current favourite and I love it teamed with blue. So, the BasicGrey Marrakech paper was the starting point, I've distressed the edges of my piece and wrapped it with the orange satin ribbon. I've used my Kadoodle design 'Frilly Flowers' available at the Craft Barn and watercoloured with Ranger distress inks. The image is cut out with square nestabilities and I've used the corresponding scalloped square for the blue layer. Decorated with paper flower, punched leaves, gems, stickles on the flowers and leaves and a Woodware sentiment. TFL. Chris x
