Katzelkraft Christmas Bird House Gift Box

Hi everyone! A little bird house gift box to show today for the Katzelkraft blog using the stamp plates  Noel Blanc,Santa KTZ 46,   Arbres 02 and Vu d'ici.

The bird house was cut from an SVG file on the Cricut and then I misted it with blue glimmer mist and on the roof with bronze blush cosmic shimmer mist. I dried the shimmer mist with a heat gun and then stamped the bird with coffee Archival ink and the christmas baubles with spun sugar distress ink and another layer over the top with stormy sky distress ink. When the ink was dry I used the snow stamp and white acrylic paint to stamp randomly over the bird box. The roof was stamped with the tree stamp and coffee Archival Ink and again over that I sponged some white acrylic paint.

When everything was dry I glued the box together, sponged the edges with Walnut Stain distress ink glued on the embellishments, added the ribbon and embellishments to the roof before gluing down and finished off with a blue pearl pen and some shredded tissue tucked inside.

I'm entering my bird box into the Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge this week and theme is to use a Tim Holtz technique. As I've been following along with the 12 tags of Christmas I used his technique for stamping snow with acrylic paint. I've made a few of the tags but didn't manage all of them and I'll show those soon. I'm also delighted to say that I won the Simon Says Stamp tag Challenge last week and have my new blinkie to display :). Anyway, lots of inspiration over on SSS&S from the team as always.
Enjoy your day and I hope you're nearly ready for Christmas :D!

Craft Barn DT project

Hi everyone, hope you're all well today and looking forward to the weekend. I have another project for the Craft Barn today and this time Isabelle challenged us to make an ATC and incorporate some micro beads, I've used mine to make a topper for another of my little boxes and used the Paper Artsy and Crafty Individuals clock stamps. I have one more box from the set of three to decorate, I'm trying to do them all with a clocks theme. My DT friends have made some gorgeous ATCs, all very different, I hope you can pop over and have a look and if you'd like to win a little prize of  micro beads and embossing powder you can join in the challenge too by creating your own ATC and entering it in the link by midnight on 10th November.

Here's a list of the products I used for my ATC:Eco green white acrylic paint
cosmic shimmer mist bronze blush and midnight blue
Beadazzles, waltz
Paper Artsy Stamps, clocks 1
Crafty Individuals stamps, clock faces
blue metal sheet
glossy accents
black soot distress ink
gold pearl pen
stickles glitter glue
metal tools

Have a good Friday!

Simon Says Stamp and Show - Numbers

Hi everyone, hope you're having a lovely weekend. I'm just scraping in on the Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge which this week is numbers. I've made some tags which are all embossed using the TH Patchwork folder and this has lots of numbers in various forms to emboss each of the tags which were placed in slightly different parts of the folder for each emboss. Cosmic Shimmer mist was sprayed over all the tags then I went over the raised areas with black distress ink and some acrylic paint here and there. Around the edges I smoothed on some Iron Filings Viva Decor paste and added some BasicGrey Boxer fibres, bronze half pearls, a TH die cut sparkle powder embossed swirl, charms and a nail head brad which were re-coloured with alcohol ink.  They're all the same colour scheme except the tag top left is catching the light more and showing up the sheen from the Cosmic shimmer, I love this colour combo of Midnight Blue and Bronze Blush. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday :)

Ready Steady Stamp 11

<KENOX S860  / Samsung S860>
Hi everyone, hope you’re all well and not too cold if you’re in the UK!! I just missed the last challenge for Ready Steady Stamp by a few minutes and I see that the next one is up now but Mr. Linky was still open so I've entered as I wanted to show my next banners. I now have five so I’m pleased that I got two done for this week. This was the recipe for the last challenge.
RSS week 11
I’ve done the banner on the right with CB ornaments embossing folder swiped with gold ink and the snowflakes folder on the bottom layer for the banner on the left, this one has also been stamped with snowflakes in green ink, sprayed with cosmic shimmer rich gold mist and then I’ve cut out some circles with nestabilities for the baubles. I didn’t have much in the way of cord so I’ve used some gold raffia and embroidery thread in place of that. I thought I was using copper stickles but this morning it seems to have turned into dark pink :D! Wrap up warm and TFL.
